On this special Sunday, as we remember the events of September 11, we will reflect on sacrifice, courage, and the kind of faith that stands firm when life is uncertain.
Through the words of Hebrews, we will be reminded that
faith is not just believing in God—it is trusting God enough to follow Him, even when the path is difficult.

Jesus does not call us to a life of comfort; He calls us to a life of
commitment. He invites us to lay aside what holds us back and run with endurance the race set before us.

We are pleased to welcome the Reverend Lyndol Loyd, who has been elected Bishop of Episcopal Area 4 of the Global Methodist Church, which includes the MidSouth Conference.

Bishop Loyd will begin his new role in November 2026.

Please join us in welcoming Bishop Loyd to the MidSouth Conference and in praying for him as he prepares to serve in this new role!

📖 Scripture Sunday

As we begin General Conference, let us remember our theme: The Beauty of Holiness.

Holiness is more than something we believe; it is a way of life that shapes how we worship, how we serve, and how we treat one another. As a global, Wesleyan people, we are called to grow in holiness and to reflect the character of Christ in all that we do.

As delegates, volunteers, staff, and guests gather from around the world, may our worship be Spirit-filled, our conversations gracious, and our decisions guided by the Holy Spirit. May the beauty of holiness be evident not only in our worship, but in the way we listen, disagree, serve, and seek God’s will together.

Lord, make us a people who worship You with reverence and joy. May the beauty of Your holiness be seen in us throughout General Conference and beyond. Amen. 🙏

What if the greatest obstacle to following Jesus… is wanting life to stay comfortable?

This Sunday at Cloverport Methodist Church, we’ll encounter the holy God who called Moses from a burning bush and hear Jesus’ challenging invitation: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)

God doesn’t call perfect people—He calls willing people. Moses felt
inadequate. Peter misunderstood Jesus’ mission. Yet God met them both with grace and invited them into His greater purpose.

Join us as we explore what it means to answer God’s call with courage, trust His presence, and discover the life that is found only by following Christ.
