2023 HBC Dodgeball Tourney

What: A fundraiser for HBC Youth where students pay $5 to enter a Dodgeball Tourney. The winning team gets half the money raised as the prize winnings.

When: January 28, 2023 from 1-5 PM.

Where: Hawesville Baptist Church in the Family Life Center.

Why: To let students have some fun and raise money for our Youth Group while doing it.

Who: YOU! Please come join us!

How to Enter: If you wish to enter the Tourney have your parents send an email to [email protected] with your Name, Grade, Parent’s Name, and Parent’s Phone Number in case of an emergency.

Your $5 will be paid at the door when you sign in.

Last minute walk-ins are welcome, but know that you will be randomly assigned to a team.

Things to Know: We will be providing water bottles for people participating, but will not be providing food. We are trying to keep costs down to maximize the benefit of the fundraiser.

We will have separate divisions for Middle School and High School. If there are not enough participants to justify having separate Middle School and High School divisions then we will have to combine them.

Players will compete in 5 Person Teams. These teams will be assigned at the beginning of the Tourney. If you wish to form your own 5 Person Team you may do so, but your whole team must be there before the teams are officially assigned at the beginning of the Tourney. The easiest way to ensure that you get the team you want is for everyone to arrive together.

We ask that everyone who comes stick around for the entire time, however if a student needs to leave early they must be checked out by a parent or guardian.

Specific rules of play will be outlined at the start of the Tourney.

Hey everyone, I'm feeling under the weather today and my brains a bit too foggy to teach. Unfortunately we're gonna need to cancel tonight. I put off canceling because I was hoping I'd feel better, but I've gotten worse as the days gone on. So I'll see everyone Sunday, sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey everyone, we are super excited for tonight! We have been asked to help pack food boxes to be distributed to people in need, so if any students are willing to stick around after service to help with that we would greatly appreciate it. We are also gonna be doing some fireworks after we finish which should be a lot of fun. If any students are willing to stick around for that, we plan to be finished up by 8. I also want to mention that this will be the first Wednesday Night with our new 6th graders, so we will be giving them a warm welcome and encourage as many students as possible to be here tonight. Thank you so much!
