I just received word this morning that Richard Haune, a dear friend and member of the Canton COGOP for over 40 years was called home to glory around 8:30 this morning. He was a gentle man of God with a heart of gold. We rejoice here at the Canton church that he has received his reward, yet will miss him dearly. Please keep the Haune family in your prayers. 😢🙏🏻

Important Regional Announcement
I am are honored to announce the assignment of your new Regional Bishop and First Lady for Ohio~West Virginia; Bishop Mike and Kim Morgan. This appointment will be effective October 1, 2024. We believe the Morgan’s are anointed and ready for the task as Ohio~West Virginia continues the trend in growth and revival. Until our transition date, I will still be serving as your Regional leader.

In mid June, Bishop Brian Sutton reached out to me concerning a new assignment he felt God was transitioning Liz and me to. We spent the following week fasting and praying for clarity. When peace came, we responded to the call. Another week was spent in prayer with Bishop Sutton on our successor. When peace came, the Morgan’s responded to the call.

As your Regional Bishop, my heart is full of many emotions. We have become family. As a family, we have accomplished so much in the last seven years. I pray together we can all work in unity over the next eight weeks to see this transition be as smooth and seamless as possible. My heart is for the Stronger Together region to continue to prosper!

Liz and I have many responsibilities as we prepare for Bishop Mike and Kim to take the reins for the next leg of the journey. We desire your prayers.

It is my understanding that Sis. Jennifer Markham, our regional pastoral care booster, is planning a farewell gathering at a centralized location. We will post that information soon.

Help me extend the biggest welcome to your new Regional leaders. Bishop Mike and Kim Morgan. We love you Mike & Kim and pray Numbers 6:24-26 over you and your ministry.

I am looking forward to this morning's service. After preaching on prayer during the last two weeks, the Holy Spirit has moved on my heart to make this service a time of prayer. It is so often easy to focus on so many things in a Sunday morning service that we forget that Jesus said His house is a "House of Prayer." (Matthew 21:13)

In the Old Testament, we see that the Brazen Altar was the first thing that was seen when entering the Tabernacle from the front gate. Why, because all had to pass the altar to go any further. This included the High Priest.

Jesus has declared us all as High Priests, thus giving us access to enter into the Holy of Holies and in the very presence of God. But it requires each of us time at the altar of prayer. A place that we so often don't want to take the time to do in our busy lifestyles and all the mayhem around us.

Let me encourage each one of us to take it to the altar. Lift up your churches in prayer. lift up your pastors in prayer. Lift up each other in prayer. Lift up this nation in prayer. Let's move beyond our prayer being a set of prayer hands on a FaceBook post and really go to prayer.

I recently read someone post that they are no longer looking for the signs of the return of Christ, they are now listening for the sound of the trumpet. My friends, I'm also listening for the trumpet of Jesus. My heart today is that the church would rise up in these last days with a fervency and a renewal toward prayer. Blessings!
