This special service features an inspiring worship team, focused prayers for our community, and creative expressions of praise. Gates open at 10:30am with coffee and donuts before the service begins at 11am. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and start your morning outside with a joyful celebration of faith and community in the heart of SE Canton.

In recent days, public rhetoric has included threats of devastating violence toward Iran and its people. As followers of Jesus, we cannot ignore language that normalizes destruction or the loss of human life.

-We confess that every person, regardless of nationality, is made in the image of God.

-We affirm that Jesus calls us to love our enemies, to pray for those we fear, and to reject the logic of domination and destruction.

-We lament the ways violence is spoken of casually, as though whole communities could be erased without consequence.

We as a community, as a church:
-Pray for the people of Iran and all who would be affected by war
-Resist language that dehumanizes or glorifies violence
-Practice the way of Jesus, who embodies a peace that refuses to kill
