Today, May 24, we celebrated Pentecost Sunday ❤️🔥

On the Day of Pentecost, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit descending in a mighty rush of wind and flame to inspire the Church’s proclamation of Christ’s resurrection. This powerful event marks the beginning of the Church.

In honor of this joyous occasion, our congregation wore red to symbolize the presence of the Holy Spirit in our community and our unity in Christ.

“The Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity, proceeding from the Father and the Son, of the same substance and equal in power and glory, is, together with the Father and the Son, to be believed in, loved, obeyed, and worshipped throughout all ages.” Westminster Confession of Faith

Thank you to Tom Brown for today’s message and scripture, “Our Lord Knows Best” with readings from
Acts 2:1-21 and Numbers 11:24-30

A special thank you to Daisy McDonald for the wonderful children’s message using deflated balloons to show how, when filled with air, they are transformed — just as we are filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit. 🎈

What a beautiful reminder that God’s Spirit is alive, moving, and working through His people still today. 🙏🏻❤️

Reminder for this Sunday, May 24 ❤️

Pentecost Sunday marks the beginning of the Church as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit descending in a mighty rush of wind and flame to inspire the proclamation of Christ’s rising.

Everyone is encouraged to wear RED 🔥 to signify the presence of the Holy Spirit in our community and our unity in Christ.

As we gather this Memorial Day weekend, we will also honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

We had a special day honoring and celebrating all the mothers and special women who have touched our lives with love, faith, prayer, and encouragement — including mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts, and teachers who make a difference every day. 💗🙏🏻

A special thank you to Heather and Jackson Byrd for leading Children’s Church today as the children painted and planted flower pots for their moms. 🌸

A big thank you to Daisy McDonald for the beautiful Mother’s Day children’s message about mothers and the banner featuring the children’s handprints. What a meaningful touch to a wonderful day of worship and celebration! 🌺🖐️ ✝️

Happy International Firefighters Appreciation Day! 🚒🧑‍🚒

We’re especially grateful for the Summerville Bunnlevel Fire and Rescue and all they do to serve and protect our community. Thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and servant hearts. 🙏🏻

We are thankful for each of you and continue to lift you up, trusting God’s hand over your lives and your work.

We loved having some of our local heroes join us at church this past Sunday! Thank you for taking time to let the kids explore the fire truck, learn, and even take home hats. ❤️

We are excited to share some wonderful news for our church family!

Bunnlevel Presbyterian Church has officially been received into the Presbytery of the Coastal Mid-Atlantic (PCMA) EPC.

A heartfelt congratulations to Pastor Tom Brown on his successful commissioning with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) during the April 24–25, 2026 meeting held at Providence Presbyterian Church in Angier, NC.

Tom faithfully preached and completed a rigorous commissioning examination. We are so grateful for the time, prayer, and dedication he has poured into this journey—we are truly blessed to call him our pastor.

We’re thankful for the eight members of our congregation who attended and represented Bunnlevel as we were officially received into the EPC/PCMA family.

To God be the glory for all He is doing in and through our church! ✝️🙏🏻

What a beautiful and meaningful Easter weekend we shared together! ✝️🌸

From the joy and laughter at our Egg-Stravaganza on Saturday, to the peaceful sunrise service this morning at the Cemetery with our friends from Fellowship Baptist Church, our hearts were filled with the hope and promise of the resurrection.

As the hymn says:
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

He is risen indeed! 🙌 Matthew 28:10

The flowering of the cross was such a powerful reminder that from death comes new life. 🌸

We shared communion together grounded us in the love and sacrifice of our risen Savior. 🥖

We are so thankful for our church family and the many ways we were able to come together in faith, fellowship, and celebration this Easter weekend. 💗🐰🌸

Hosanna in the highest! 🌿

This Palm Sunday, we remembered the joyful moment when Jesus entered Jerusalem and the crowds—especially the children—waved palm branches and cried out, “Hosanna!” (Matthew 21).

As we continue into this holy season, we invite you and your family to celebrate with us!

Join us Saturday, April 4 for our Easter Egg-Stravaganza—a joyful time for all ages as we gather in faith, celebrate the hope of the season, and share in community together.

Then come worship with us on Sunday at 11:00 AM for our Easter service, including communion, as we rejoice in the hope and promise of the resurrection.

All are welcome—we would love to celebrate with you!
