168 Hours.
There are 168 hours in a week.
At Unity, our basic commitment looks something like this:
📖 Midweek Recharge (Bible Study) – 1.5 hours
🙏🏾 Noonday Prayer – 1 hour
⛪ Sunday Worship Service – approximately 2.5 hours
That’s a total of 5 hours a week.
Five hours out of 168.
That means we’re asking God for guidance, provision, protection, healing, breakthrough, wisdom, favor, and direction while only dedicating about 3% of our week to gathering, growing, and seeking Him together.
Now, for those in leadership, those serving in Service Operations, and those participating in training and development, that commitment naturally increases. But even then, when compared to 168 hours, it’s still a small portion of the time we’ve been given.
This isn’t about guilt. It’s about perspective.
We make time for work.
We make time for sports.
We make time for entertainment.
We make time for errands and appointments.
Shouldn’t it be just as simple to make time for God?
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matthew 6:33)
When we truly understand what God has done for us, serving Him and spending time in His presence stops feeling like an obligation and starts becoming a privilege.
168 hours.
The question isn’t whether we have the time.
The question is what — or Who — we are choosing to prioritize. ❤️🙏🏾
