Why can't churches just be like they were in the book of Acts? Many have asked that question, longing for the simplicity, beauty, and power of God on display in the early church.

But, do we want the badly enough to do what they did? Are we willing to be devoted to the teachings of the Bible and the fellowship and of worship being a priority in our lives and being so generous that people my question our sanity? Are we willing to open our homes and lives to others and share the Gospel wherever we go?

Join us for worship at 9 or 10:45 as we take a look at "A Portrait of a Faithful Church."

Vance Havner said, "The early church had none of the things that we think are so essential for success today—buildings, money, political influence, social status—and yet the church won multitudes to Christ and saw many churches established throughout the Roman world. Why? Because the church had the power of the Holy Spirit energizing its ministry. They were a people who “were ignited by the Spirit of God.” "

Acts 2:42 describes what was going on in those early days of the church in Jerusalem: "And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. "

We have much to learn and many challenges from Scripture that would transform our churches if simply made the same choices they did!

We invite you to come tomorrow to an extremely imperfect church as we worship our Perfect Savior. Services are at 9 and 10:45 am.

Adam McLaurin of our church shared that his brother in law was in a serious accident a couple of weeks ago. Allen McLeod was on his way to work when he was hit by a truck and thrown about 50 yards. He had serious injuries and lots of medical bills but has no medical insurance. Allen has an 11 year old son and Adam says they are really struggling right now. Would you consider a gift to help this family? Adam helped set up a GoFundMe page for the McLeod’s. Here is the link.

Allen McLeod is a devoted father and a cherished friend who has always put his family… Adam McLaurin needs your support for Support for Allen McLeods Recovery

The Gospel message is not a message of generalities. It is a message that is profoundly personal and as we will see today in Acts 2:36-41, it is a message that demands a response. If you have not responded to the truths of the Gospel, today would be a perfect day for you to do it.

Hope to see you for worship today @ 9 and 10:45!
