Well, we are back from the PBA50 Tournament in Greensboro, NC and it did not turn out as I planned. I have a couple of bad games and it took me out well out of the cut and cash. On a happy note from the tournament, I picked up the 7-10 split. Third time in my life I have picked it up. Hit the 10 pin just right and it bounced on the pin deck and nailed the 7 pin.

I really need to work on my speed and approach. I have plenty of time as my next PBA50 tournament will be in September at Paradise Lanes in Spartanburg, SC. I'm not bowling in Front Royal, VA in a couple of weeks or Norfolk in the end of June.

Plenty of practice, one summer league (scratch trios - sport shot), and trips to Myrtle Beach for the monthly Senior tournaments. Oh and of course, time with my grandchildren.

See you on the Lanes!

BLESSINGS FOR EVERYONE!

Last one with the DV8 Verge Hybrid tonight. Just a bit quick with my feet and tripped up the 5 pin for the strike. Thanks for watching. Like and Follow!

Another with the DV8 Verge Hybrid. Just a little light and sweeping out the 5-7 for the strike. Thanks for watching. Like and Follow!

Here we go with the DV8 Verge Hybrid. I do like the ball and it is for medium-heavy oil and it does have a factory shine. I use a 3000 pad to take the shine off it it. It hits much better as you can see on this strike. Thanks for watching. Like and Follow!

Here we go with two posts in a row! I have been busy with work and my ministry, now I have some time to post for all the awesome bowlers to come to my page.

I do want to say, "THANK YOU" for continuing to come to my page, read my posts and watch my reels. I do have some reels coming up either tonight or tomorrow evening. I will be practicing on Saturday morning, so I will take some video.

This past Tuesday was Petersen Point Scratch Trios with my partners and good friends, Wayne Bolin and Clark Blossom. We were on 27-28 and they are the toughest pair in the house. Tonight, they did not fail me at all. Had to take something off the ball on lane 27 and put something on the ball on lane 28. If you take something off the ball on 28, you paid for it right though the nose.

On the left side, Wayne changed balls five times just to keep it off the nose. Clark was over hooking on 27 and good to go on 28. We did manage to win one game. I have six opens, 2 missed 10 pins and 4 splits. The only game we won was because I double and 8 in the 10th frame.

Those nights, don't get mad, make you changes either ball or adjust on the approach. Its a grind, but a good lesson in bowling. Next week we will be on 29-30. We will be back on 27-28 in three weeks and I think I will have my Trouble Maker Solid ready, LOL!

See you on the Lanes!

BLESSING FOR EVERYONE!

Greetings everyone and I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday evening. I know some of you are bowling, or out to dinner, or just relaxing at home. We have our taxman here, YAY! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, lol!

Well, last weekend at my first PBA50 tournament did not go as well as I wanted. Myrtle Beach Bowl is a very nice house, but they really need to do something with the approaches. They are very slick and I had to make some huge adjustments, which did not do very well with my tempo.

But, I will tell you, the PBA 37ft Test Pattern was a fantastic pattern. I really liked it. I could play an angle to the 2nd arrow out to 7 board with a 3-4 pin or I can play straight up either 7 board or 2nd arrow with a 2-3 pin and crush the pocket. The approaches got to me. I changed my pad four times and nothing worked. It was a good lesson and did have some fun. At least, we stayed across the street from Tanger Outlet, so we did some shopping.

Week off and next weekend (Easter) is another a PBA50 tournament in Greensboro, NC at AMF All Star Lanes. I really like the house. I bowled there back in 2024 at a PBA50 and made the cut and cashed. Another wood approach, which they are in great shape. The pattern will be another Test Pattern at 46ft, 29.85ml of oil, and 3.33:1 ratio.

See you on the Lanes!

Greeting everyone and welcome to Friday. Getting ready to travel to Myrtle Beach for my first of five PBA50 tournaments this year. Bowling "A" squad on Saturday, so it will be a very early morning as we start at 8:00 am. Get in a good practice session this afternoon from 1:00-3:00 and then the rest of the afternoon and evening for rest.

Tuesday evening was another round of the Petersen Point Trios Scratch league with my partners, Wayne Bolin and Clark Blosser. We were on 23-24 and after tonight, we have five weeks left. Still in third place, but not far behind second place as are are winding down. Started rolling my DV8 Trouble Maker Solid with my Brunswick Knock Out Bruiser in the wings.

Game #1 has some issues with carry. Did not strike until the fifth frame and rolled a three bagger, but left a bucket and spared. Back-to-back 10 pins and an 8 count fill ball for a 208. Found I was not tucking in my elbow, so made the correction.

Game #2 was much better. 10 pin spare, five bagger, back-to-back 7 pin spares, strike, 10 pin spare, and a strike fill ball for 238. Kept tucking in my elbow and was able to put some extra revs on the ball.

Game #3 was even better. Started with a double, 10 pin spare, five bagger, 10 pin spare, off the sheet for a 258 and a 704 series. Wayne rolled a 693 series and Clark rolled a 569 series. We swept them and I think that is 12 or 16 in a row. We will bowl some tough teams the next 5 weeks. We will bowl the first place team in two weeks and I think we bowl the second place team again.

Well, time to get ready for travel!

See you on the lanes!

BLESSINGS FOR EVERYONE!

Last one with the DV8 Wicked Collision. Came in just behind the head pin, but with good revs to kick out the 5 pin. Thanks for watching. Like and Follow!

Good Evening Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great Monday as we are getting into spring and winding down your Winter bowling league and dusting off the golf clubs. As most of us have heard last week, Brunswick, as the parent company, has decided to retire Columbia 300. I would like to make this statement:

I have been bowling since I was 6 years old when my Hall of Fame mother put a ball in my hand. I was hooked. I received my first Columbia 300, as White Dot, when I was 11 years old. My parents bought me my first Yellow Dot as a Christmas present when I was 13 years old. I have been a loyal Columbia 300 bowler until last week when they retired the brand. Even though I roll other brands under Brunswick, I always had 3-4 Columbia 300 balls in my arsenal.

Of my 36 300 games and 17 800 series, all have been rolled with a Columbia 300 bowling ball. My first 300 was with a Yellow Dot. Mark Roth and Marshall Holman really put Columbia 300 and the Yellow Dot on the map. My first urethane ball was a Black U-Dot, then the Wine U-Dot. I have won many tournament on a city, state, and military level.

I just want to say from the very bottom of my heart, thank you Columbia 300. My gratitude is unmeasurable. Thank you for this 64 year old to grown up from a Columbia 300 kid to a Columbia 300 adult. I understand why Brunswick made their decision and as sad as it is, sometimes their are casualties. So, as we ride into the sunset, long live the memories of Columbia 300.

Love to read some replies and some stories about your experiences with Columbia 300.

BLESSINGS FOR EVERYONE!

Once again, back with the DV8 Wicked Collision. Really like this ball for short oil sport shots and house shots that have good oil on fronts and midlane with dry backends. Ball is good for a mixer also. Thanks for watching. Like and Follow!
