This Sunday, August 2nd at 9:45AM worship, we welcome The Augustana Trombone Quartet as a part of our Summer Music Series. They are an ensemble of four Augustana University students: James McCormack (Freshman, Music & Media Productions double Major), Austin Lawrence (Freshman, Computer Science & Software Engineering and Data Science double Major), Hudson Schumacher (Freshman, Music Performance major), and Alexis Lawrence (Sophomore, Music Education major). Formed in the summer of 2026, the quartet shares a passion for making music together and for exploring the versatility of the trombone across a wide range of repertoire. They are excited to perform throughout the community and look forward to sharing their music with audiences in the future.

Many of you know Larry Olson as our Wednesday Music Leader. This Sunday, July 19, he'll be sharing his gifts in our morning service. Larry is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who co-founded Dakota Road Music in 1988 — a company known nationally for stirring original music and a playful performance style, with over 20 recordings and songs sung across the U.S. and beyond.

🎻 This Sunday, July 5 at 9:45 AM Worship, we welcome Dr. Penny Thompson Kruse to Brandon Lutheran. Dr. Kruse is a former Professor of Violin at Bowling Green State University's College of Musical Arts, with a career that includes serving as associate concertmaster of the Kansas City Symphony and performing as a soloist across the Midwest and internationally. We're honored to have her join us in worship this week!

We're delighted to welcome flutist Leslee Duncan to Brandon Lutheran's morning worship this week. Leslee has played flute since high school in Brandon Valley, lending her talents to our choir and special music here at BLC over the years. Since retiring, she's continued playing with the New Horizons Band and the Augustana Blue and Gold Band.

✨What an incredible week at Rainforest Falls VBS! 🌿

This week, students from Brandon Lutheran and our community journeyed into the rainforest. They discovered the true nature of God & what it means to be rooted in a relationship with Him - our safe place through every storm life may bring. Through Bible stories, music, games, crafts, snacks and lots of laughter, our kids learned that God is always with them & loves them unconditionally.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers, station teachers, crew leaders & jr. crew leaders, the BLC staff, donors and families who made this week possible. Your time, energy and dedication helped create a fun & faith-filled experience that impacted so many children, 350 to be exact! (230 vbs goers and 120 student volunteers - wow!)

We pray that the seeds planted this week continue to grow throughout the summer and that our Rainforest Falls kids remember that no matter what storms come their way, they can always find refuge in God.
