Risen Savior Parish Welcome to Risen Savior Catholic Church! The parish of Risen Savior was founded in 1979 with 200 families. The first pastor, Father Edward J.

Pierce was named by Bishop Dudley. Groundbreaking for the church was Sunday, April 27, 1980 and the first parish Mass was Christmas midnight Mass of that year. Today we have approximately 600 families and our current Pastor is Father Andrew Young.

Today we celebrate perhaps the most well-known modern-day saint in the world. A tiny woman who lived in a poor country and cared for the least among us. She did not seek fame, but in many ways it found her anyway. She also found criticism from some because she did not do her work the way they thought she should. She did her work anyway.
This is of course, Mother Teresa.
And while she is a saint today, and many could see she was holy during her lifetime, she struggled greatly. Most people did not know about her struggles until after her death in 1997. Click below to learn about her most difficult trial.

The Young at Heart Ministry served up another delicious meal on Thursday to a wonderful crowd! Pat Haugen from Therapy Dogs Sioux Falls, Inc. joined us and shared about some of the amazing dogs who do important therapy work — it was a hit with everyone there. 🐾
