What does it truly mean to live in harmony with the world around us?

This Sunday at 10:30 am, we are launching a brand-new worship series called "Living Communion." Communion is so much more than a ritual inside the church walls—it is a way of being. Over the next few weeks, we will explore what it means to live in right, loving, and intentional relationship with all things. From our neighbors and our local communities to creation itself and our own souls, how do we embody Jesus' love in every connection?

There is a place at the table for you as we learn, grow, and heal together. Come exactly as you are!

Join us tomorrow in person at Hillview UMC 8525 Ustick Road, Boise at 10:30 am OR on-line at www.hillviewmethodist.org any time

168 books. That's how many more books we need to be able to give away 250 LGBTQAI themed books at Boise Pride in just 17 days!

If you can't donate books, share the link to our wishlist on your page to help us reach our goal. We want to ensure that all youth and children see their families or themselves represented in literature.

Tomorrow we're going to attempt to define the most churchy-church word of all...CHURCH.

What is church? Is it a place you go to on Sundays? Is it a building? Is it a group of people? Is it only for certain people? Are there special requirements for going? Is it only open on Sunday?

What do YOU mean when you tell someone "I'm going to church."

What do you think or picture when someone tells YOU they're going to church?

Join us tomorrow at 10:30 in person (or on-line anytime at www.hillviewmethodist.org)

This Sunday we are wrapping up Our "What if...?" worship series. We have spent the summer looking at common, even overused, "church words" through new lenses. Heaven, love, sin and justice were just a few.

Our next worship series will focus on communion...sometimes called "the eucharist" or "the last supper." Each Christian denomination observes communion differently. At Hillview, we observe it on the first Sunday of every month with bread and grape juice (served in tiny, individual cups). Other churches observe communion every Sunday with w**e. Different words are recited.

While the differences can be fascinating (and contentious), we're going to explore the reason behind communion and what Jesus was really asking of his disciples as they shared their last meal together.
