There was a House Party going on today! Thanks to all the student and staff who joyfully participated in the fun. It was also a day to stop and reflect on the value of “doing the right thing” and reaching out to make someone’s day just a bit brighter! We love our middle school students! ♥️

Fall Fun and Sweet Memories with Our 5th and 1st Grade Buddies! The spirit of Fall was in the air as our 5th and 1st Grade Buddies came together for a delightful Scarecrow Day celebration! The excitement began as students created their very own scarecrow cookies, adding a touch of creativity and plenty of smiles before enjoying their sweet treats. The fun continued as buddies worked side by side on a festive math worksheet, sharing ideas, practicing their skills, and cheering each other on.

More than just a seasonal celebration, Scarecrow Day was a heartwarming opportunity for our fifth graders to show kindness, patience, and leadership while strengthening their special friendships with their first-grade buddies. From sweet treats to shared laughter, the day was filled with the warmth of friendship, the joy of learning, and wonderful fall memories to treasure!

What a blessing to have Saint Jude as our patron saint and a beautiful example of faith, hope, and trust in God!

Throughout the day, students in all grades have been learning about the life of this amazing saint during their religion classes. From his role as one of Jesus’ twelve apostles to his special title as the Patron Saint of Hope and Impossible Causes, our students are discovering why Saint Jude continues to inspire so many faithful people around the world. As a school community that proudly bears his name, we are reminded that even in life’s most difficult moments, we are never without hope when we place our trust in God.

Opening Our Doors, Sharing Our Mission, and Welcoming Future SAINTS! What a wonderful celebration of faith, family, and community at our Saint Jude Catholic School Fall Open House!

We began on Thursday by opening our doors to families interested in our Early Learning Program. It was a joy to welcome so many visitors eager to explore our beautiful new building and discover all that Saint Jude has to offer our youngest learners!

On Saturday, we continued the excitement by welcoming prospective families from all grade levels. Our guests were warmly greeted by Mrs. Del Orbe, our Admissions Director; Miss Armstrong, our Principal; Father John, our Pastor; Mr. Tracy, our Dean of Student Affairs; and an amazing group of faculty, staff, and students.

Throughout the morning, we shared what makes Saint Jude so special — our Catholic mission, our commitment to academic excellence, our call to serve others, and, most importantly, our love for our Saint Jude SAINTS!
Families enjoyed campus tours, refreshments, and meaningful conversations with our eighth-grade student ambassadors, parent club representatives, school board members, faculty, and administration. There is no better way to learn about Saint Jude than to hear from the people who live our mission every day!

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make these two days so welcoming and memorable. We are especially grateful to our students, who so beautifully represented the spirit of our school.

At Saint Jude, we are more than a school — we are a family rooted in faith, strengthened by community, and committed to helping every child LET THEIR LIGHT SHINE!

Fourth Grade Retreat: The Gift of Forgiveness
Our fourth graders enjoyed a meaningful day of faith and reflection as they explored the theme of forgiveness. Through the Gospel story of The Unmerciful Servant, students learned about God’s endless mercy and our call to forgive others as He forgives us.

A favorite activity involved using a backpack to represent the weight we carry when we hold on to hurt or struggle to ask for forgiveness. Students reflected on how letting go and choosing forgiveness can lighten our hearts and strengthen our relationships. They also created FORGIVE acrostic poems to express what forgiveness means to them.

We ended our retreat with Adoration and a blessing from Father Chris, giving students a special opportunity to spend quiet time with Jesus and reflect on His unconditional love.

It was a beautiful day of learning, prayer, and growing closer to God. We hope our fourth graders continue to carry these lessons into their friendships, families, and daily lives, remembering that forgiveness is one of the many ways we share Christ’s love with others. Thank you, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Waddick, Ms. Guzman, Ms. Gigi and parents for all your help. ♥️
