Welcome to our Communion Worship service at Church on the Hill, Boca Raton, LIVE at 10:00 a.m. Today is September 6, 2026.

Pastor Tom Lacey's message today, from the Old Testament book of Amos (Chapter 5) is, "God is Good (Just)."

Michael Ursua is our musical accompanist.
Today, we have T. J. Pursley as our soloist and worship song leader. His solo, in honor of Dolly Parton, is her song, "The Seeker."

This was our every Thursday night BCEO (Boca Christians Eating Out) from Church on the Hill Congregational/UCC this evening, September 3. 2026....It was fun, A huge crowd this evening at ABC Chinese Restaurant in Deerfield!

We had clockwise, Francisco, Emily and Mamie, Nora, Ren, Jane, Gregory, Dan, both hardly visible were Sarah also Lois, then Amy, Bob, and last but never least Faye!

God’s Will Be Done
The fact is Gideon isn’t so good at believing God, at least not at this stage of the game. Later on, he grows to become one of the great believers in God’s will, no matter how strange a thing the Lord says he should do. But not yet. And that’s the point of this story. Gideon asked for signs from God. He wanted to see something. And he did. He saw what he saw and by seeing he crossed a threshold. After that, he followed the Lord.
He became committed.

Pleasing God:
Being pleasing to God means to grow in gratitude, even when it doesn’t come easily. We want to stay sweet to life, not sour on it, kind toward people, not curse them. If our preferred method of facing challenges is to be quickly overcome, emotionally negative, mentally stewed, verbally agitated, then we’ve got to get a
new m.o. Look differently upon your difficulties and the unexpected. They’re not lasting as long as we think. And, the Lord is pleased with such effort.
