It's natural to pray for blessings. We pray for our families, our health, our finances, our relationships, and the things that matter most to us.

But what if our greatest prayer became this, "Jesus, I want more of You."

Because every good gift ultimately points back to the One who gave it.

A strong marriage is a gift. Children are a gift. Friendships, opportunities, and the moments we hold most dear are all gifts. But none of them were ever meant to take the place of the Giver.

The truth is, the blessings we receive find their deepest meaning when they draw us closer to Jesus. Without Him, even the best things in life can't carry the weight of our hope.

So today, don't just pray for what God can do for you. Pray for more of His presence. More of His wisdom. More of His peace. More of Him.

Because the greatest gift God gives us is Himself.

Every other piece of the armor is defensive.

The belt holds things in place. The breastplate protects the heart. The helmet guards the mind. The shield deflects the attack.

But the sword?

The sword is the one offensive weapon in the whole list.

"...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." — Ephesians 6:17 (ESV)

The Word of God isn't just something we read for comfort. It's something we wield.

Jesus used it that way. Every time the enemy came at Him in the wilderness, He answered with Scripture. Not arguments. Not his own strength. The Word.

What are you holding up against the lies right now?

A lot of us have one. On the nightstand. On the shelf. Maybe even a few of them.

But there's a difference between owning a Bible and using one.

A Bible sitting on a table isn't doing what a Bible is made to do. It's just a book.

The moment it gets picked up, opened, and carried into real life is the moment it becomes what God designed it to be: the Sword of the Spirit.

So here's the question worth sitting, "where's yours right now and when did you last actually open it?"
