AGAPE Love From Above To Our Community

AGAPE Love From Above To Our Community AGAPE is a non-denominational, faith-based mission to serve the people in our area.

Our Vision

The vision of AGAPE is to provide guidance and help to those in need. Based on a needs assessment completed on an individual and confidential basis, services may include counseling, education, supplementary disaster relief, evangelism, fellowship, financial aid, nourishment, and supplying household or other material necessities. AGAPE will also serve as a conduit for information and re

ferrals to other existing private and public community agencies, if appropriate. Our Code of Conduct

The Bible—Principle 1
We believe the Bible is the eternal, infallible, inerrant Word of God and is the Alpha and Omega for everything we say and do. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Staff and Volunteers—Principle 2
Our staff and volunteers are our most important resource and our means of building client relationships to meet needs with practical solutions which spiritually transform individuals and our communities. The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28
Clients—Principle 3
Our clients are all whom Jesus calls us to serve. Knowing our clients, not just knowing about them, and meeting their expressed, unexpressed, and unknown needs with compassion, confidentiality and discipline is essential to achieving our vision. So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do unto you . . . . Matthew 7:12

Our Guide

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Matthew 25:35-36

AGAPE is looking for a new box truck, and we could use our community’s help. 💜

Our trucks help keep AGAPE's programs moving every day, from transporting food and household essentials to picking up and delivering items for the individuals and families we serve.

As we search for a replacement truck, we’re asking those who are able to consider contributing toward this important need. Every gift helps us move closer to putting a reliable vehicle back on the road and keeping our programs moving.

If you’d like to help support AGAPE’s truck replacement efforts, we are incredibly grateful for your generosity.

One meal can make a difference. Thousands can strengthen an entire community. 💜
So far this year, AGAPE has helped provide 200,217 pounds of food to individuals and families throughout Columbia, Montour, and Northumberland counties. 🥫

Behind every pound is someone who no longer has to choose between paying a bill and putting food on the table. It's a reminder that when a community comes together, hope can take many forms.

Thank you to our volunteers, community partners, donors, and everyone who helps make this impact possible.

📣 An important update from AGAPE 📣

As we prepare for improvements within our warehouse facilities, we are temporarily pausing clothing donations and furniture donation pickups, effective immediately.

During this time, our team will be focused on working through current inventory, reorganizing our warehouse spaces, and making facility improvements that will help us better protect donated items and strengthen our ability to serve the community long-term.

Our clothing and furniture programs are continuing. Clothing Giveaways will continue using our current inventory, and we will continue serving clients who are already waiting for furniture using available inventory on hand.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community and appreciate your patience and understanding during this temporary pause. 💜

We look forward to sharing updates as improvements move forward and letting you know when clothing donations and furniture pickups can resume.

Fresh, nutritious food should be accessible to everyone.

Through Fresh Express, AGAPE provides fresh produce and shelf-stable food to residents of Columbia, Montour, and Northumberland Counties.

The best part?

💜 Fresh Express is not income-based. If you live in one of these counties, you’re eligible to participate.

Behind every program is a person.
Behind every statistic is a story.
The stories shared by individuals and families served through AGAPE remind us why compassion, community, and practical support matter.

Every pet deserves a full bowl, a wagging tail, and the comfort of knowing they're cared for. 💜

Through AGAPE's Happy Tails program, 26,678 pets have been fed so far this year, including 16,677 cats and 11,001 dogs.

For many families facing financial hardship, caring for a beloved pet can become one more difficult decision. Happy Tails helps ease that burden by providing pet food and supplies, allowing families to keep the companions they love while navigating challenging times.

Together, we're helping people care for every member of their family, including the four-legged ones. 🐾

Meet the AGAPE Family 💜

Ruth is AGAPE's Daily Bread Coordinator and has been a valued member of our team for nearly 10 years. Before joining AGAPE, she worked in finance at a local hospital, bringing years of experience and dedication to everything she does.

One of Ruth's favorite things about AGAPE is that there's always something to do. She enjoys staying busy, trying new things, and embracing new adventures, always willing to jump in wherever she's needed.

Outside of AGAPE, Ruth treasures time with her family, including her two daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons, and two granddaughters. She is also a proud 50-year member of Rohrsburg Christian Church.

We're grateful for Ruth's adventurous spirit, caring heart, and unwavering commitment to serving others. She's a special part of the AGAPE family, and we're thankful for all she does. 💜
