Being Careful in Strange Times!
In these strange and weird times, it is more important than ever to take all things to Christ! Jeremiah 17:5 “..Cursed is the man who trust in man, who draws strength from his flesh and whose heart turns away from God” That is not just a word telling you to watch out for what the world is telling you but that is meant for preachers, teachers, prophets, worship leaders, and youth pastors. The Bible tells that the spirt is willing, but the flesh is weak Matthew 26:41. It’s easy for man to get caught up in his own emotions and speak to it as if it were the word of God when it fact it is the flesh speaking through his own emotion. Having emotions whether passion, anger, empathy is good, but we have to be careful to not allow our emotions to influence the words we speak as if they were Gods. Again, the reason for us to trust only in Gods word. Take everything you hear no matter how it sounds to God. If your preacher preaches the church on fire, take what he says to God and let God Lead you. If the prophet tells you words that make you feel inspired, take his inspiring words to God. Make sure those words line up with the Word of God. God’s word says “… even the elite will be deceived!” Matthew 24:24 That means that all the big-name and other Christians are susceptible to being deceived the same as you and I. So, I would urge you to take all things to God. Personally build your own relationship with him. We are living in strange times “Trust In the lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
