JRAK - Journeymate Random Acts of Kindness is growing by leaps and bounds; therefore, Pastor Thomas Carney suggested I create a page specifically for the JRAK - Journeymate Random Acts of Kindness ministry.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, approximately 40 households (well over 150 individuals) have been blessed with a home cooked meal or a gift of food courtesy of JRAK. As God provides, we will continue to bless those in need with food - whether it be a complete meal, a bag of fresh fruit/vegetables, or whatever is needed.
Do you know someone who is in need? It does NOT need to be someone within the congregation. Do you have a neighbor or a family member that needs a meal or some assistance of some kind? Have YOU been "JRAK-ED"? Share the blessing you received as a result.
In the interest of not cluttering up my personal e-mail address, or the church's, I have set up a special e-mail address just for JRAK. The e-mail address is:
[email protected]
(If you're wondering where the 1700 comes from, the church's address is 1700 Main Street. 😃)
Please send names, addresses, and phone numbers of folks who could benefit from this ministry....someone have a new baby? Just home from the hospital? Death in the family? Just need a break? Please send the information to the e-mail address above or call the church's new phone number (570) 316-7886, and I'm sure whomever is answering the church phone will get in touch with me.
Volunteers are needed to help with this ministry. In addition to Jeff and I, right now there is Gloria Mommo and Josephine Snyder Hittle. More volunteers are needed, especially when school resumes.
To support the JRAK ministry (and thank you to those who have supported it financially to date - you know who you are), please make your donation payable to Journeymate Wesleyan Church and indicate "JRAK" in the memo section of your check.
Thank you.
