Rev. Jennifer Sakata is a speaker, podcaster, and author who nurtures joy at the corner of real grace and real life. Host of the podcast Living the Grace Life, Jennifer’s favorite moments are when someone recognizes God's grace rewriting their story.

After serving Washington Presbyterian Church, Jennifer ministers as pulpit supply throughout the Presbytery. Jennifer is a Fuller Theological Seminary grad. She and her husband Craig are raising their two earthside sons, Ethan (18) and Seth (16), in Washington, IL.

This week we had our first pumpkin decorating night with Family Ministry! This night was a blast complete with treats, creative creations, and a great time for all. We can't wait to do it again!

Last weekend two of our seven robotics teams went on a field trip to Illinois Caverns in Southern Illinois to learn about God's creation. They met with an Illinois DNR staff to learn the nuance of this fragile ecosystem as they work to define and solve real world problems in our community. Take a look at some of their adventure!

We are so excited to have Dr. Andy Bruhn, Director of Choral Activities at Illinois State University, with us this Sunday in worship service. Andy worked with our choir at our Wednesday night rehearsal, and even composed a choral introit based on Psalm 96:1-2 for our worship service. Come hear Andy's compositions this Sunday in worship!

Rev. Nicole Brown is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Assistant Pastor at Knox Knolls Free Methodist Church in Springfield, Illinois. She works primarily with adoptive families through The Baby Fold and supports foster families through The James Project.

It's always such a spiritual and joyful time when we have the chance to worship with our friends from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. From the smiling faces and new voices, to the combined messages of togetherness and unity from Rev. Dr. Timothy Mark Harris and Rev. Trey Haddon, and the opportunities to fellowship with one another, we truly could not have asked for a better Sunday together!
