New Covenant Community is pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring a Go Fund Me campaign to raise funds to purchase a handicapped accessible van for Mariamu Kasongo and her daughter Rahissa, who has multiple and severe disabilities. The Steering Committee approved this fundraiser at their meeting on May 13th and approved Karen Rousey to be the member in charge of this fundraising event on behalf of New Covenant. As soon as the Go Fund Me campaign is kicked off, the Go Fund Me link to learn more about this family's need and to donate to the campaign will be posted on this page. We encourage all members to give as they are able, to share the fundraising link with family and friends, and to post the fundraising link on their social media pages.

This brings to mind the words of a poem by Scott Taylor…

Love is especially on our minds this week of Valentine's Day - romantic love, yes, and all forms of love also.

Jesus and his message is rooted in love; it's a spiritual bottom line for us, always has been, and always should be. We can ask ourselves: do others feel loved by us?

❤️ Sometime this week tell someone you know, in specific terms, several things you love about them.
❤️ Make someone you don’t know feel loved by you. It could be as simple as holding a door open for someone, looking them warmly in the eye and saying “I hope today is a really good one for you.”
