Seminarian Cameron Huhlein (maroon shirt), a member of the orientation team, welcomed new students to Theological College as the new formation year begins. Cameron earned a bachelor in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America this spring and is beginning his final year as a Basselin Scholar as he completes his Licentiate in Philosophy.

Matthew Pickard (middle row, right) has entered religious life with the Dominican Friars, Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Matthew was a diocesan seminarian, but has felt drawn to the charism of the Dominican Friars. Please keep him in your prayers as he discerns religious life.

Our soon-to-be novices are here! On September 3 they will receive the Dominican habit, and they need your prayers! Sign up to be a Novice Prayer Partner and commit to praying for the novices on their day of vestition.

Novice Prayer Partners are the first to learn the novices' religious names and see the brothers in their habits through an exclusive email sent out after the private ceremony on September 3. They also have their names placed in the novitiate community to be prayed for throughout the year.

NEW SEMINARIAN: Nicholas Schovel was raised in Madison, Alabama, attending St. John the Baptist Catholic School and St. John Paul II Catholic High School. Nicholas attended Auburn University, was active in campus ministry, and earned a BS in Industrial Engineering this spring. He is a member of St. John the Baptist Parish, Madison. Nicholas will begin the Propaedeutic Year at Notre Dame Seminary.

NEW SEMINARIAN: Nathan Mitchell is originally from Georgia. His family relocated to Woodland, Alabama during his college years. Nathan attended Mississippi State University where he was active in campus ministry. This spring, he was awarded a BS in Forest Management. He is a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Anniston. Nathan begins the Propaedeutic Year at Notre Dame Seminary.

Axel attended Snead State Community College and Jacksonville State University studying Exercise Science/Wellness all while employed. Axel will begin the Propaedeutic Year at the Pontifical College Josephinum Seminary. Pray for Axel and all the seminarians.

NEW SEMINARIAN: Fox Garon is originally from Louisiana. He converted to Catholicism while a student at Samford University where he earned a BA in Law, Politics, and Society in 2024. Most recently, Fox was employed as the Faith Formation Coordinator at the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Fox begins the Propaedeutic Year at Saint Meinrad Seminary. Pray for Fox and all the seminarians.
