Are you looking for a great program to join with your son?

Come join us on August 9 at ResLife Church of Big Rapids for adventure, fun and information regarding joining!

While parents attend an informational meeting to answer any questions you may have about our troop, we’ll have loads of fun things for your boys to do! Slingshots, kid friendly axe throwing, tug o war, foam sword/balancing beam station, make/light your own fire-starter and much more fun to come!

3…2…1…BLAST OFF!! 🚀🚀🚀

What a beautiful day to shoot off some rockets! Our Woodlands created their own 2-liter bottle rockets and launched them sky high using water and air pressure.

Then, our Navigator/Adventurers showed off their model rockets by launching them for the troop to see!

This 4th of July a few boys got together and walked in the parade in the town of Evart, MI. They enjoyed passing out Join the Adventure invitations and sharing the joy of candy with all the smiling faces they passed.

This year our troop was invited to participate in a Flag Day ceremony with a local community. Boys from our troop, along with members of our local AHG troop, shared interesting facts about flags throughout history, performed a raising and lowering ceremony, and witnessed a flag-retirement ceremony.

This weekend our troop headed out to the range! Our first “Shooting Sports Day” was a great success. The focus for the boys was on weapon safety rules and becoming familiar with the weapons. Our boys had the chance to shoot a blowgun, practice their archery skills, shoot slingshots and BB guns, then finished the day with marshmallow shooters.

Yesterday, we had the great honor of awarding the trailmen for their hard work and dedication during the 2025-2026 program year. This was the first awards program they shared with the American Heritage Girls troop, and it was a blessing to everyone to share the afternoon together. One of our Trailmen even crossed over from Navigator to become our first Adventurer! Congratulations Trailmen on all you have achieved!

Our trailmen journeyed to Attica, MI for the T.H.A.W.W. Campout this weekend! Our theme this weekend was “In God We Trust!” (Acts 5:29) The boys threw tomahawks, learned about foraging in the woods, played archery tag, talked with historic reenactors, shoot .22 rifles and BB guns, and many other great fun activities! They even gathered the courage to put on their very first skit as a troop at Saturdays campfire! It was cold, but very memorable! There were many photos taken, here are a few of our favorites.
