**Acts 2: 1-4
Pentecost means 50th, it is the 4th of the 7th Jewish days.
The 50th day, after Jesus rose from the dead, 50 days later they were in the Upper Room, waiting for the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is our baptizer in the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is our divine healer.
Jesus is our soon coming King.
Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost, both are the same. It depends on the translator.
Holy Spirit is God not an IT!
FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT! The Trinity
The coming of the Holy Spirit is fulfillment of the word of God.
**Genesis 1:1, the Spirit of God was there in the beginning. He was present, he moved on men of God. He was never in them. He was with them.
Jesus came, shed his blood, cleansed us from our sins and the Holy Spirit will enter in.
When you get saved, the Holy Spirit comes to make you born again, he comes within. When you repent, you get the Holy Spirit
The more you hunger and thirst after Him, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. You will overflow with it! It will begin to effect everyone around you.
When you get baptized in the Holy Spirit, he gets you. You finially surrender everything.
#1 Being filled is for ALL believers in Christ, even today.
#2 As members of the COG, you will know you are filled by utterance of your tongue.
#3 We believe all believers need to desire to be filled.
Every born again Child of God, he wants you to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
He is our help, our comforter, he gives us power to witness to others.
He wants us to desire to be filled.
He transforms us so we can live the Christian life.

This is later than Pentecost, they knew the Gentiles had been filled with the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit baptism, as a born again Christian we need to desire to be filled.
Fire represents the Power of the Presence of God
*Mosed and the burning bush
*In the wilderness, a pillar of Fire covered them at night.
*Elijah at the Mount, God answered by fire. Elijah prayed a 63 word prayer, God set the wet wood on fire.

We need the Holy Ghost and Fire
When we are full of the fire, he will clean you up.
He will give you his nature.
When people look at us, they are going to see Jesus' reflection.
When you're a true sheep, you will have a heart cleaned. When you mess up, you will beg to be clean.
Sheep hate being dirty. (Be spiritual)
God help us as a church, get the sin out of us. Help us be like sheep, where we desire to be clean, do things for you.
The Holy Spirit will give you a heart for the lost, regardless of their sin you will see past the mess they are and love them like Jesus. You will see their heart that is worth saving.
If I hold $50 dollars in my hand and it's clean, then I stomp it in the ground and crumble it up, it is still valuable.
Your life is a lot more valuable than that. There is no sin to big for God to wash you clean. You may think you're to unclean but,
He loves you more than anything in this world.
We are like Redwood,
This life puts crusty stuff on us, we need the fire of Pentecost to reproduce and be healthy.
How do we get the Holy Spirit, he tells us in **Luke.
