Trusting in God can be difficult. What helps us is our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Faith and trust in the Comforter in our daily walk with Christ is the exercise. When we go to the gym we trust that our muscles get larger because of our regimented routine. Our spirit man is much the same in practice. We study, we pray and we commune with the Father. It builds us up so that we become stronger. The difficulty occurs when we experience a life event, such as, an injury, or great loss. The eternal question..."Why God? Why?" The eternal answer. "Because I love you." Doesnt seem like much of an answer does it? We only have to look to the cross to realize that Christ's love is the eternal answer. "I love you this much. I died for you." "No greater love is this than a man lay down his life for his friends..."continue to put your trust in the Lord. These trials are just meant to build us up. I tell people all the time that if living for Christ was easy, then everyone would be doing it. The exercise is the trust that you continue to sacrifice to the Lord. No matter how tough the situation and no matter how long it takes. Continue to turn your eyes toward Jesus. I walked away from God for over 22 years. Dropped Him cold! Being a God of infinite chances and of love he never left me. He just continued to wait patiently in line for me to remove myself from the equation and willingly put him first. Once we make that decision and stick to it the Lord will begin to work in our lives and we will begin to grow in the Holy Spirit. Our spirit then grows larger each and every day. No matter the outcome and no matter the trials continue to put your trust in Jesus.
