Today is Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday is a global phenomenon where we collectively recognize how we have been blessed, and therefore put those blessings to good work for God’s Kingdom. We hope that as you give thanks for all you’ve been given, that you’ll give toward what you value and hope for the world.

With Kidstown, the best two places for your Giving Tuesday gifts are the Christmas Joy Fund and the Every Child Fund. Christmas Joy allows us to give a special gift to each partner to provide Christmas gifts and a special meal for their kids on Christmas Day. The Every Child Fund is our “where most needed” fund which supplements every area of kids’ needs. You can give to either of these funds online at kidstown.org.

Your giving to these funds today (and any day, of course) empowers our partners in India, Nepal, and Romania to care for and bless our wonderful kids. We thank you for your faithful giving to them, and pray you be encouraged as you give today.

Our 2025 report is full of testimonies of how Kidstown sponsors and partners have made lifelong impact in the lives of kids across the world. We're so humbled and grateful to each of you that you would trust us to steward your faithful giving, and pray that you would all be deeply encouraged by how God has taken our gifts and made much of them for his Kingdom in the lives of kids.

2026 will be our 30th year, and one of great renewal of vision and purpose--we can't wait to share what God is stirring up and invite you to take part.

💟 My "Why" for 2025
A note from Fred Hartsook, Kidstown Executive Director

📝 I met Mika at New Life Childrens Home in Chitwan, Nepal this January. She had only come to the home weeks before we met. When she arrived, her body was horribly afflicted by chronic illnesses, with no access to medical care.

The church prayed over her, and she was miraculously healed! The illness completely left her body.

She gave her life to Jesus, as did her mother and her sister. Her mother now attends Bible classes and hopes to be a preacher. Mika has begun leading worship for the church, and her younger sister lives with her at NLCH.

Mika’s life is precious to God. He wants her to flourish as His beloved daughter. And now, because of how God uses Kidstown, she will have that opportunity.

Mika is my “why” for 2025. Why Kidstown exists. Why I am here. Why we do all that we are able. Why we give. Why we serve.

Because the world may only have one Mika, but there are still so many like her who need God’s healing and love.

Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and giving so that kids like Mika may have lives of hope. I pray that God would encourage all of you as He has me with Mika’s story today.

Because of you...

While the stories of kids' rescue, hope, and equipping through education are the ones we share most often, sometimes we get to share about the wonderful things that happen "in between" as kids grow in a Kidstown home.

This Summer, due in large part to the giving of their sponsors, kids from the Kajanto Maria (Alesd) Home in Romania were able to experience a Summer they'll never forget. They were able to attend church camps, visit museums, zoos, waterparks, and participate in holistic play-based therapy. It is a Summer checklist that all of us parents would love to be able to give their children! And Because of You, these kids and so many others in Kidstown homes got to make lifelong memories together in between their school terms.

When you sponsor a Kidstown kid, and give to the mission of Kidstown, you give kids a new course for their lives. These photos of the kids of Alesd are just one reflection of the blessing it is for them. May you be encouraged and blessed as you see their faces today!

🕊 Over 15 million children today are living without either living parent, and over 140 million are living with at least one parent gone. Will you pray today for how the body of Christ can rise up to care for these children who God dearly loves?

🌄 It's a great day in Chitwan!

🏠 New Life Children's Home in Chitwan, Nepal began serving kids in 2004, and Kidstown became a partner in 2011. They're currently serving 21 kids, ranging from pre-school age all the way through young adults completing their college education (thanks to the Final Mile).

Pastor Sanu and Kamala are leaders in the community, the region, and faithful to the kids the Lord brings to their door. Thank you for your prayers, sponsorship, and giving so that these great partners can say yes to these amazing kids!

We have been so encouraged by your amazing giving this year, and are currently at about 80% of our target for Q4/EOY. Reaching our target means we can commit to all of our existing kids and partners in 2025, and to the anticipated number of new kids we’ll receive.

💝 Kidstown’s vision is of a world where every child can flourish. We work toward that vision through the excellent care of our partners who take in orphans and vulnerable children, provide a loving home, access to exceptional education, and faithful support in their transition to self-sustaining adulthood.

👫 The Every Child Fund is our most needed and flexible resource, allowing us to provide funding where it is needed most. It is drawn from to supplement every other fund we deploy, and covers the administrative costs needed to fulfill our mission.

🗝 Your giving to The Every Child Fund empowers Home Directors to cover the short-term costs when kids are new to the home before they have a Sponsor, additional costs not covered by Sponsorship like medical and dental care, and honorariums for our Home Directors directly caring for kids.

🚪 When you give to The Every Child Fund, you give so that kids won’t be turned away at the doorstep of the life God hopes for them, and so that they’ll have everything they need to become flourishing adults.
