Joyce Ann Lewis, age 92, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord on Friday, September 4, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her devoted husband, Charles Lewis, and her loving daughter, Phyllis Williams.
Joyce was born on September 28, 1933, in Porterdale, Georgia, to the late Ester and Ola Mae Kirkpatrick. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Wilburn Lewis; her brother, James "Sonny" Kirkpatrick; and her sister, Geraldine Kirkpatrick.
A faithful and longtime member of Milstead Baptist Church, Joyce lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and love. She found her greatest joy in her family and treasured every moment spent with them. Her strong and steady spirit, unwavering love, and caring heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Lewis; her loving daughter, Phyllis Williams; her grandchildren, Tony Flynn (Kasi), Faith Mathews (Brian), Stephen Lewis, April Lewis, and Michelle Carter (Brandon); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Morgan, Danielle, Alice, Bailey, Chase, and Silas. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Doug Craver officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
