Imagine wanting to serve as a pastor, but almost no theological training exists in your language. That’s the reality for many church leaders in Cambodia, where Evangelical resources in Khmer are scarce.

That’s why BTCP is committed to expanding our translation projects, so pastors can study a systematic, comprehensive training program in their own heart language. And we’re deeply thankful for our partner Crossing Cultures International Crossing Cultures International, who’ve carried this training not just across Southeast Asia, but to pastors around the world.

Pastor Adam’s story is a picture of what that faithfulness produces. He studied with CCI Cambodia from 2011 to 2015, and what started as one Christian’s growing desire for ministry has become a calling. Today he pastors a local church in Phnom Penh with a heart for mission, equipping others the same way he was equipped.

Samuel wanted to study the Bible well. Through BTCP’s ten courses, he learned to do it systematically — observation, interpretation, and application — and that foundation has shaped how he teaches and leads today.
Now Samuel is training others in Bangladesh, teaching classes in his own language and helping a new generation grow spiritually and learn how to prepare biblical messages.
We’re deeply grateful for our ministry partner, Crossing Cultures International Crossing Cultures International, for carrying this training into some of the hardest and most needy parts of the world. Stories like Samuel’s are why we do this work.

After graduating from the Bible Training Centre for Pastors, George found himself equipped in ways he didn’t expect.
Trained in Rhino Refugee Camp, Uganda, George now leads a Bible ministry teaching children, and he says the impact is visible in the lives of the children and the families around him. The training gave him confidence to reach others and share the gospel.
We are grateful for our ministry partner, Teaching the Vine, whose faithful commitment to this work has helped train over 500 people across the refugee camps of Uganda.
Stories like George’s are why BTCP exists: raising up local leaders to teach and disciple their own communities.

Please join us in praying for Pastor Prem, a BTCP trainer serving rural villages in Eastern India, and for access to more Telugu Bibles for the pastors he trains.

God is on the move in Eastern India. Pastor Prem recently led a training session for 27 pastors and church leaders so they can faithfully preach and teach God’s Word in their own churches.

Many of these pastors often walk long distances from surrounding villages just for the chance to be trained in Scripture, and they are carrying what they learn straight back to their congregations.

Alongside the training, we’re seeing mercy ministry in action and new disciples following Christ in baptism.

This is what BTCP exists for: raising up local leaders who can reach the unreached with the gospel.

Growth of this program is limited by difficulties obtaining Telugu Bibles. Pray with us that the Lord would provide, and consider how you might help meet this need.

From Nepal, with gratitude to Sabin and for their faithful partnership in equipping pastors and church leaders across Nepal.

Since 2014, Sabin has been using the BTCP curriculum and the fruit has been remarkable. Marriages restored. Parents stepping into their God-given roles. Pastors transformed in how they preach and shepherd their congregations.

One pastor went to help translate a class and came home so moved that he launched four BTCP courses in his own church. What a blessing!

Kwizera is a Burundian refugee in Uganda. While there, he benefitted in BTCP training through our excellent ministry partner, God grew Kwizera’s impact from singing to Bible teaching, to being a regional director for Childrens ministry. Through, faith, perseverance and a lot of Bible study, he is helping raise a new generation of refugees to fulfill God’s command to “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Adam Nathanson has served as a missionary in Venezuela for more than 20 years — providing accessible, ground-level pastor training where it’s needed most.

To date, over 300 graduates from his program are actively serving as church planters, evangelists, and pastors, impacting thousands of disciples across the country.
