There is something about being married to a healer that can make life feel like it’s always racing. Long hours. Unexpected pages. Delayed plans. Waiting on schedules to settle down... only to find a new season begins.
But God’s pace has never been dictated by ours.
“God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which He must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.” — A.W. Tozer
What a gift that truth is.
Friend, while the world urges us to hurry, achieve, and hold everything together, Jesus invites us to abide. He isn’t anxious about your husband’s training, your family’s future, or the unanswered prayers you’ve been carrying. He is already present in every waiting room, every overnight shift, every lonely evening, and every uncertain tomorrow.
As wives of healers, we can easily begin measuring life by calendars and milestones. But the Lord measures our lives by His faithfulness. He is never late. Never rushed. Never surprised.
Today, may we trade hurry for trust, striving for surrender, and anxiety for the peace that comes from resting in Christ.
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” — Psalm 37:7 ❤️
If this encouraged you today, share it with another woman married to a healer who could use the reminder that God’s timing is always perfect. And tell us in the comments: Where is God inviting you to slow down and trust Him more?
