We’re so thankful for every team member who chooses to serve, show up, and make a difference here at Revolution. 🫶🏼 We could tell you all day why serving on a team is worth it but we’d rather let our team members tell you themselves. 👀
Here’s a little glimpse into what serving at Revolution has looked like for one of our own, Sara Whitaker!
💙What team do you serve on, and how long have you been serving?
I serve on the Welcome Team and have been serving at Revolution for about five and a half years.
💙Why did you first decide to start serving?
My husband, Bob, and I served for over 20 years at our previous church. We believe serving is a vital part of being a church steward, it has helped us develop many new friendships and we have grown closer to the Lord.
💙How has serving impacted your life personally and helped you grow in your relationship with Jesus?
Serving at Revolution has given me opportunities to serve others in ways I never imagined. It has allowed me to work alongside a diverse group of people, which has helped me grow in my walk with the Lord, show more grace to others, and spend more time in the Word.
💙Have you built any meaningful friendships or relationships through serving? Tell us about them.
Bob and I are part of a couples community group where we pray, study God’s Word, and enjoy life together. Through serving, I have also met many women with whom I have developed close, encouraging relationships centered on our faith.
💙What would you say to someone who is thinking about serving but hasn't taken that step yet?
My advice would be to be bold and start serving! You won’t regret it.
💙What do you love most about serving at Revolution?
I love serving at Revolution because it allows me to help and encourage others. I truly experience the Lord’s joy when I serve.
