Update from one of the chaperones on the Student Ministry Mission Trip to the border: "Had an incredibly powerful experience walking a migrant's journey through the desert until we reached the wall. Listening to people's stories and experiences. Kids asking so many great, thoughtful questions and sharing personal reflections." You won't want to miss our 9:45am service on June 14 when we hear from our students on this life-changing trip! “Where’d the Trinity Come From, Anyway?" This past Sunday, Senior Pastor Chris Holmes addressed this question and the concept of The Trinity. The idea of God as "three-in-one," the Triune God, can be a difficult one to grasp. In the attached clip, Pastor Chris describes God's relational nature. Mission trip update from Perry Slaughter, North Avenue's Director of Student Ministry: "The photos below are with the youth group we met the first night. We began by talking through the border wall, then crossed into Mexico where we continued those conversations face-to-face...we then had dinner together, each sitting with a new friend, stumbling through language barriers together and developing friendships. The night was full of powerful exchanges that encouraged listening, learning, and connection." Please continue to keep our students, chaperones and staff in prayer during this powerful week on our southern border!

Please keep our Student Ministry team and their chaperones in prayer as they travel to the border this week! Pray that God will use our students to bring hope to those they meet at our southern border, that they will serve with humility, and that they will build lasting relationships with those they meet along the way. Please pray also for safe travel for our students, staff and chaperones.
