Village Bible Church Come worship with us, Sundays at 10:00am! We look like a traditional New England Church but beneath the surface there's a different spirit in us.

We are a church family based in Amherst, NH devoted to helping people build an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and have that change their entire lives. We want to help people, be involved in our community and forge relationships with anyone looking for hope in a challenging world. We invite you to partner with us!

Is Jesus enough for you? Is what he has already done enough for you? If that was all you received and nothing more, would you be content? Our faith shouldn't be one constantly chasing the next spiritual high, but resting in the finished work of Christ. Because he and he alone, is enough.

We can be, at times, miracle chasers. Looking for the next big thing, something that will get us excited! But God isn't telling us to be miracle chasers. He is telling us to be disciple makers: those who share the main message of the Gospel and live it out. Jesus came to saves sinners. Repent of your sins and believe in Him.

The charge is often levied against Christians that we are hypocrites. People who fail to practice what they preach and for some that is very much true. But there is a difference between those who try, fail, and try again versus those who never seek to be obedient to God to begin with. Evaluate yourself: do you need to take heed, or take heart?

"How did I end up here?" - this is the question we will sometimes ask ourselves in times of difficulty. Sometimes it is a product of our own doing. All the time it is a product of the Lord's hand, refining, molding, and growing our faith in him. Don't lose heart in the storms of life! Hold tight to the One who can see you through!

In the slogs of ministering on behalf of God it can be easy for us to throw up our hands and wonder where he is. Here, in Mark 6, we learn that he is there with us. Caring for us, and meeting our needs, despite the difficulty. Are you tired? Do you want to give up? Press on! Jesus knows, and he is caring for you, even now.

2 Timothy 2:12 - "All those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." Not may be, not could be, but will be persecuted. It is an expectation for the believer. But no matter how strong the persecution, no matter the extent of the darkness, remember: God is greater still.

Maybe you've said it yourself: I'll believe in Jesus when I see a miracle. I need to see it to believe it. But Scripture teaches that miracles never produced faith. It only met the faith already there. To believe it, God's miraculous work of regeneration is what's needed - not you seeing it. Don't wait to see a miracle, rest in the one that has already happened: Jesus Christ!

The saying is true: the ground is level at the foot of the cross. The salvation Jesus offers doesn't depend on your social status, your income, your health, or anything else you can think of. His offer hinges on faith in him.

Demonic exorcisms are not the stuff of myth or legend - but is it something that the Christian should be worried about doing? If God wanted us to know how to do it, he would have told us. But he didn't! What he did tell us to do: love one another, serve one another, and follow after Jesus.
