Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, June 7, with Rev. Patience Stoddard. There are many lessons we can learn from our gardens. The first is the importance of paying attention and the second is ignoring our anxiety and trusting in nature. There are many lessons to be learned from weeding, not the least of which is that plants in order to be healthy need space to grow. And finally there is the letting go, for gardens, like people, have a season of birth and flourishing and a time to die back into the soil so that the cycle of life giving way to other life can continue. Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, May 31, with Rev. Patience Stoddard and guest musician Milo Brandt, who will be sharing his piano compositions. As Kahlil Gibran wrote, “Your daily life is your temple and your religion. Whenever you enter into it, take with you your all.” Stop… Look… Listen… Open your heart. What you need is here. Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, May 24, with guest speaker Rev. Steve Edington and the Worship Team.
How do we cultivate within ourselves a sense of the holy and the sacred when some of the more traditional understandings of God may no longer work for us? This service explores a spiritual stance called “panentheism”, the idea that there is something of the sacred found in the ordinariness of life if we can remain open to it. Details at uucm.org.

Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, May 17, when Rev. Patience Stoddard will use the story of Lot’s wife and a poem written by Kristine Batey to contrast two different approaches to theology — one based on obedience and one on connections. Details at uucm.org.

Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, May 10, with guest speaker Rev. Shayna Appel. With so much amiss in our world today, how do we avoid activism burn-out? Perhaps the oldest wisdom is still the best. Come hear some lessons from nature, and learn about activists who are persisting. Details at uucm.org.

Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, April 26, when Rev. Barbara Thorngren of Temple, NH, will be our guest speaker. The Earth is not merely the stage for our lives; it is the source of our breath and our blessings. We will explore our relationship to it as individuals and as a community, and honor the interconnectedness of Druidry with the Unitarian Universalist Church. To be a Druid is to listen to the land and act upon what you hear, viewing stewardship not just as a civic duty, but as a spiritual practice rooted in the interdependent web of all existence. Details at uucm.org.

Rev. Barbara Thorngren is an interfaith, inter-spiritual minister, community chaplain, and a dedicated practitioner of an Earth-based spirituality. Through her business, PeaceWorks New Hampshire LLC, she facilitates healing and spiritual connections throughout the region.

Please join us in person or online at 10:30am on Sunday, April 19, when Rev. Patience Stoddard will consider this question. As she says, “It depends on what we mean by “religion”. She will explore this topic and share some stories about unique individuals who lived their way into different answers. Details at uucm.org.
