Easter Message 2026

In a world more connected than ever, no suffering remains isolated. When conflict erupts in one region, like the current war in the Middle East, its ripple effects travel far and wide — crippling economies, unsettling societies, often placing the heaviest burdens on the poor, and damaging the environment. We see clearly now how deeply we depend on one another, and how easily that interdependence can lead to suffering when the balance is tipped. We see how hostility and unrest spread, leaving hearts anxious and fragile. Not only does the world long for outer peace, hearts also long for inner peace.

Yet Easter proclaims a hope that transcends all turmoil. In the Risen Jesus, we receive a peace the world cannot give — a peace that is not dependent on circumstances, but rooted in God’s enduring love. It is a deep, inner and lasting peace that steadies the human heart even amid chaos. It is a tranquil calm that holds us steady when everything shakes.

May this Easter bring that peace into every troubled soul and every wounded land. May it soften the hearts of leaders towards reconciliation and genuine peace, awakening the truth that we are all interconnected and dependent on each other, and ultimately dependent on God. And may we rediscover our dependence on God, the true source of lasting peace for our world and our hearts. Christ is risen indeed. Alleluia! He is our hope.
