Drawing from both the Buddhaโ€™s teachings and his own experience in wealth management, Bro Chye Chye shared how timeless and relevant these teachings remain today ๐Ÿ™โฃ

๐Ÿ’ฐ Wealth Accumulation โ€” referencing the Sigalovada Sutta, where the Buddha advised dividing oneโ€™s wealth wiselyโฃ

We reflected on how the work we choose can profoundly shape our personality and values โ€” especially considering how much of our lives we dedicate to it โณ In Buddhism, Right Livelihood is part of the Noble Eightfold Path, reminding us to pursue work that is ethical and wholesome ๐ŸŒฟโฃ

Beyond simply choosing a โ€œgood jobโ€, our JYs also learnt the importance of discerning whether a career is truly a good fit for them. Through reflecting on our pull and push factors, we explored how to recognise whether our motivations are rooted in wholesome or unwholesome states ๐Ÿ’ญโฃ

There may not be a single โ€œright answerโ€, but we hope this session gave our youths a meaningful framework as they begin exploring what they wish to pursue in life โœจโฃ

On 25 April 2026, our JYs and their parents gathered for a special day of merit and wisdom with Bhante Rathana.

It was a deeply meaningful session as we had the privilege of both offering dana and attending a lesson led by Bhante himself! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ™โœจโฃโฃโฃโฃ

Learning Journey to Fo Guang Shan ๐ŸŒฟ

On 18 April 2026, our JYs had a meaningful and enriching visit to Fo Guang Shan (ไฝ›ๅ…‰ๅฑฑ) Singapore, kindly hosted by the Youth Adult Division (YAD).

It was a reflective and engaging experience as we deepened our understanding of Buddhist culture and traditions in their beautiful temple!

Some of our favorite highlights:

1๏ธโƒฃ A guided temple tour where we learnt more about the history and development of Fo Guang Shan

2๏ธโƒฃ An inspiring sharing by Venerable Miao Mu reminding JYs of their good fortune to meet the Triple Gem; and a lecture by Venerable Zhi Yu on the history and significance behind the Qing Ming Festival

3๏ธโƒฃ A calming session of mindful calligraphy, allowing us to slow down and be present in the moment

We hope all our JYs left feeling inspired, grounded, and more connected to these meaningful traditions.
