We are a Reformed and Presbyterian Church that upholds the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechism in the eastern part of Singapore. First constituted as “Criswell Tabernacle” in the year 2000, the congregation decided to change the name to “The Shepherd’s Tabernacle” in 2021. It is our prayer that this Church will be a place where people will find Christ and meet with God in peace (1 Timoth
y 3:15).
“The Shepherd’s” refers to the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Good Shepherd (John 10:11) and the Great Shepherd of the sheep of God (Hebrews 13:20), the Church. We exist to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. The only rule God has given to direct us how we may glorify and enjoy Him forever is the Holy Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Hence, we exist to proclaim and teach the Holy Bible so that people would come to know what they are to believe concerning God and what duty God requires of us. Our Lord has given His people the duty to make disciples in all nations by teaching them to observe all that Christ has commanded as recorded in the Holy Bible (Matthew 28:20). Our Lord tells us, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
