Living Hope Methodist Church VISION:
LIVING OUT OUR HOPE IN CHRIST

MISSION:
WITH EVERY LIFE IN HIS S.T.O.R.Y. In January 1991, the first Sunday service was conducted at St Georges’ Chapel.

Early in 1989, the vision of planting a church was conceived when a group of Wesleyans met regularly for bible study in Tampines. This vision resonated with the Trinity Annual Conference and in August 1989, the Tampines Outreach Project (TOP) was birthed. By November, TOP was approved as a local church and was named Tampines Methodist Church with 42 adult members. In 2001, after seeking the Lord f

or direction, the leaders renamed the church Living Hope Methodist Church (LHMC). The Church was blessed with a piece of land at Tampines Street 33 and upon the completion of the church building, the members of LHMC finally found their permanent home in December 2004. The vision of LHMC is to be a people “living out our Hope in Christ” and the way we accomplish this is through placing “every life in His S.T.O.R.Y.“.

What feels "difficult" in your call? The struggles in God's calling often stems from inadequacy, fear, unknown, the cost of obedience, or the weight of responsibility. How does God's questions in Exodus 4:11, "Who made..?" reframe these fears for you?

Last Sunday, we joyfully celebrated our 35th Anniversary, with both our English and Chinese worship teams leading us in a wonderful time of worship.

We were delighted to welcome our special guests, Bishop Emeritus Dr Gordon Wong, Vice President Dr Cheah Fung Fong, Associate Lay Leader Mr Charis Lim and his family, who joined us in this special celebration.

Our speaker BE Dr Gordon Wong preached on “Outreach Series #3: “The Good Samaritan”

🔸Message Reflection:
We live in a world where there are distractions - we end up focusing on these things, instead of God. Talk about some of these distractions you encountered in your life. "Go and Do likewise" (Luke 10:37). What act of kindness or mercy might you be able to do (as a small group or individual) for someone you encounter on your
road of life?
