I echo the same sentiments as the last church camp: I wish every Trinitarian could be at camp, making the journey to behold the glory of the Lord together with the rest of us.

Nonetheless, it was wonderful to see and be among so many Trinitarians (including those from the overseas centers) come together, many serving to make this happen. We managed to take in more Trinitarians than in 2023, thanks to the camp committee’s recce efforts. We even had a children’s corner for parents with their toddlers and babies playing together. From the unique photobooths to the games, prizes and activities arranged, the organizing and bringing everything together - big shoutout to the camp champs working with the committee. Thank you for serving alongside the pastors and admin staff for four long but beautiful days.

We’ve encountered God, experienced life, and now we continue to impact our world with His Glory and manifest power at home, in schools, workplaces, our neighbourhoods, wherever we set foot.

Please pray that we will find a bigger venue to fit more of us in three years’ time! And save your june dates for next year’s life conference in Singapore!

Thanks be to God... 808 @ Macpherson is finally open! Good to see this joint initiative with MacPherson Constituency come to life to impact the community and vicinity of Macpherson. Today’s ceremony was graciously attended by our MP, staff members of MacPherson Constituency Office, donors who have given specifically to the 808 project, CCSS corporate partners who have given and/or done engagement with our CareKids programme and CCSS board members.
I am excited about what 808 can be now that we have officially opened these doors. Looking forward to the many powerful stories of impact made possible by the continued donations, sponsorships and partnerships from generous individuals and organizations. I pray every child and youth who step through these doors will find in 808 a place of belonging, healing and dreams. May they not just have dreams but be empowered to fulfill those dreams!

808 @ Macpherson is home to Care Community Services Society’s children community initiatives, such as the CAREtapult learning support
program, the d’klub mentoring program, as well as home to community youth up to 15 years in age.

Congratulations to our pastoral staff on their graduation! 🎓 I am so proud of them.

This year is special, with 80 theology and counseling graduates since the inception of TCA college, our biggest number yet - the chapel was packed, bursting, a resounding atmosphere of support with cheers all round as the graduates took the stage.

At this year’s graduation ceremony, we acknowledged the retirement of Rev Sam Kuna, our longstanding Dean of the School of Counseling, also a pioneer of the counseling scene in Singapore. He set solid foundations for our School of Counseling to be where we are today. Thank you Sam.

With Sam’s retirement, we are pleased to announce that Lim Poh Cheng has taken over as the Dean of the School of Counseling. First an alumni, then a counselor, Poh Cheng became part of the faculty since 2023. She is also a pastor in Trinity Christian Centre.

From left to right: Brother Bob Zhan Chun Lei (Master of Arts in Ministry), Sister Charissa Ng (Master of Arts in Ministry), Sister Shanna Twang (Master of Arts in Ministry), Rev Gerald Tan (Vice Chancellor of TCA college and Lead Pastor of Trinity Christian Centre), Pastor Elisa Tan (Master of Arts in Ministry), Pastor Jasmin Por (Master of Arts in Ministry), Pastor Samuel Leong (Master of Arts in Ministry)

When I was preparing for this weekend’s preach, I read abit more about the Mediterranean crimson worm (coccus ilicis), תּוֹלָע (tôlāʿ) in Hebrew, and the worm referenced in Psalm 22:6 “But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people.” These worms were used as dye for the scarlet fabrics used in the tabernacle.

Apparently as the female crimson worm is ready to lay her eggs, she attaches herself to a wooden tree, forming a hard crimson shell that protect the larvae that hatch and feed on the living body of the mother worm for three days. Then the mother worm dies, her body excreting a crimson or scarlet dye that stains the wood and her baby worms, and her body then turns into a snow-white wax just like a patch of wool. The baby worms remain crimson-colored for their entire lives, thus called crimson worms.

Isaiah 1:18 “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
The metaphor of this crimson worm shows us the beauty and reality of the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ: His blood that was shed as a sacrifice for us, enabling us to stand righteous before God, white as snow.”

I stand amazed and undone as I ponder on this symbolism this Resurrection Sunday. Grateful for God’s love, and still inspired to make my life count by loving souls relentlessly.

The first 9 days of 2026 were spent seeking the Lord as we embraced His prophetic word for the church this year: Distinguished by God’s presence. As we journey into the unknown, the possibilities and potentials, we will walk in the favor of God, known by Him… Lord, show us your glory!

I preached at Watchnight service and at our first service of the year – the sermons can be found on our app and website. Let’s learn to hunger for God’s presence in our lives!

We declared and prayed that we will experience God’s rest and His manifest presence at our dedication service last night. What a joy it was to celebrate our newly appointed pastors – a reminder that we are called to serve God in this manner, willingly giving of ourselves and our families to Kingdom ministry! It is my prayer that we will bear fruit as we stay faithful to the call.

May the Lord say to Trinity in 2026, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” This is my prayer for the church as we fulfill God’s purposes and advance His kingdom in this new year, marked by God’s presence in our lives, families, relationships, work and ministry.

3 days, 2 nights, 1 island.

200 couples at Trinity’s Marriage Retreat seeking God to build even stronger marriages. We worshipped, we prayed, we romanced, we renewed vows... I missed my dear wife who was serving at our children’s camp on another island!

May the many good years of our marriages always feel just like a few short days as we thrive together.

grēgoreō is Greek for “Keep watch”.

To give strict attention to, be cautious, active

To take heed lest through remission and indolence (laziness) some destructive calamity suddenly overtake one

As a church, we had a taste of “keeping watch” when we did an overnight prayer from 11pm on Friday to 6am on Saturday. We stood watch together, over our families, our ministries, and our nation, as we prayed and prayed. It was a befitting cry to God on our National Day in Singapore. It was a picture of a growing prayer pulse in the church, growing in faith and authority to believe God will fulfill His purposes.

Not only was it a beautiful sight to see our youths, adults across generations warring and interceding, standing in the gap because we love God and we love souls, making time to do so overnight, our intergenerational services over the weekend were a blast with children and families, both biological and spiritual, worshipping God and being ministered to in the Word. What a blast!

I always cherish how God brings each and every Trinitarian and guest into our centers to encounter God, experience life and transform each person to impact our world. Looking forward to more of such gathering together as one church and seeing each Trinitarian prepared and pressing in to fulfil God’s will in our lives. Let’s keep keeping watch!
