*5+2: Today marks the end of our 40-day Celebration 🎉*

On the day Jesus ascended, He did not leave His disciples without direction. He reminded them of the promise, commissioned them to wait, and positioned them for what was next.

40 years ago, a small group waited on God with nothing but hunger and faith. *Today, on Ascension Day, we mark 40 years of answered prayer*.

🙏 May we lift our eyes to You, the Author, the Finisher, the one who began this good work and will carry it through. Amen!

We thank God for a deeply meaningful Deeper Wells Experience, where we intentionally slowed down to sit with Jesus at the foot of the cross and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us.

✨ Highlights from participants:

💙 A deepened confidence that Jesus understands our darkest “forsaken” moments and meets us there with His presence.

😌 A renewed rest in the gospel reality that Christ’s work is truly finished - Tetelestai. We are invited to live from grace, not from effort.

🙏 Discovered helpful ways of prayer that many found life-giving such as the Examen (rhythm of gratitude, discernment, repentance and renewal).

🏳️ A tangible moment of surrender: naming burdens and releasing control, and entrusting ourselves into the Father’s hands, not in fear, but in faith.

May the seeds planted continue to bear fruit, leading us toward deeper holiness, trust, and a wholehearted love for Jesus.

We are so privileged to pray and bless our Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade! Our Captains shared exciting milestones from our flourishing partnership with FGA:

🌿 Spiritual Growth: Through Alpha, 20+ members participated, with 4 accepting Christ!

🎯 Community Service: Members served seniors and ran game booths during the 2025 Chinese Congregation Family Day.

🤝 Outreach & Mentorship: Since launching last year, our Heritage Academy company has mentored 32 students. Additionally, the ITECC BB program has reached over 160 Primers since 2020!

🥁 Excellence: We celebrate Hazel’s 1st Place win (Snare Drum) at the Pipes & Drums Festival and the growth of our BB Blaze triathlon teams.

💯 Attendance: This E&D, we welcomed 65 participants at our English service and 120 participants at our Filipino service, including 13 valued partners from Kluang, whose Pipes & Drums programme is co-sponsored by FGA.

Some wounds don’t disappear.
But in Christ, they are never wasted.

Jesus rose again—and He kept His scars.
Not as signs of defeat, but as proof of love, redemption, and healing.

The same is true for us.
What you’ve been through doesn’t disqualify you.
It becomes a testimony.
A place where God’s grace meets your story.

You don’t have to pretend everything is okay.
You just have to trust that God is still working—even in the broken places.

Today, bring your wounds to Him—seen and unseen.
Let His healing begin, or continue.

“By His wounds we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5

Provision has been one of FGA’s recurring testimonies. From the early days, God’s people at FGA were always generous. Chairs appeared when more people came. When we needed a building, the people gave over and above. They gave sacrificially. And God opened doors. When missionaries were sent, God provided every dollar. Over the years, it was never an abundance in the bank; it was abundance in His hands. And He gave as we gave. This is still true today: provision follows obedience. Faith moves heaven. As we celebrate 40 years, we remember that we have never lacked. Not because we had much, but because He is enough.

Yesterday, we sat in the shadows of the cross.

It was a solemn and powerful Good Friday service as we retraced the journey of the Passion through the words of John 19, the prophecy of Isaiah 52-53, and the raw honesty of Psalm 22.

In our darkest moments, we can take comfort knowing that Jesus truly understands our “Why?” cries—He uttered them Himself. As we wait in the silence of Saturday, let us fix our eyes on the cross and lean into God’s unfailing track record of faithfulness. He has never failed us yet.
