Is there an area that you find hard to trust God for? Perhaps you have been disappointed time and again. Believing feels so difficult and tiring. You feel like you have exhausted every last ounce of strength. But what if God wasn't rejecting you all this while? What if His silence wasn't punishing you, but strengthening you? The woman with the issue of blood believed even after twelve years of continuous anguish and suffering. What is one issue you have continuously been in anguish and grief over?
Bring that before God today. Confess to Him your pain, your fears, even what you didn't dare to believe after feeling like everything is wasted for too long. God isn't far off. He is near to all who call on Him -- in truth. So today, wherever you are, call on Him again, in truth. Confess to Him your honest feelings. Then take Him at His word. Trust Him for who he said that he is. Ask the Lord to give you faith to believe once again.

God can provide in hidden places.
In 1 Kings 17, Elijah obeys the word of the Lord and goes to the Kerith Ravine — a place of hiding, waiting, and dependence. It was not a place of public victory, but it became a place of quiet provision.
There, God sustained him:
Water from the brook.
Bread and meat by ravens.
Daily provision in an unexpected way.
Sometimes God leads us into seasons that feel hidden or uncertain. But hidden does not mean forgotten. Quiet does not mean abandoned.
Today’s devotional invites us to be still, read the passage slowly, and notice the ways God has sustained us — even in places we did not expect.
Take five quiet minutes today to thank Him for specific ways He has provided for you recently.
Then pray: “Spirit, help me trust Your hidden provision.”

Following Jesus may sometimes disturb what others are trying to protect.
In Acts 19, Paul’s ministry in Ephesus challenged the idols and systems people had built their lives around. For Demetrius and the craftsmen, the gospel was not just a spiritual issue — it threatened their business, reputation, and sense of security.
Truth can be costly! But this passage also shows us something else: God knows when to send protection and restraint. When Paul wanted to enter the crowd, the disciples and even some officials urged him not to go.
Courage does not always mean rushing forward. Sometimes, wisdom means allowing God to hold us back.
Today’s devotional invites us to be still, read the passage slowly, and pray:
“Spirit, help me stand firm in truth without fear.”
Reflect also on the moments when God may have protected or restrained you for your good.

Sometimes a closed door is not the end. It may be the Spirit’s redirection.

In Acts 16, Paul and his companions wanted to go in one direction, but the Holy Spirit stopped them. Then, through a vision, God opened another way — calling them to Macedonia.

Not every delay is failure.
Not every “no” is rejection.
Sometimes, God is lovingly redirecting us toward where He wants us to be.

Today’s devotional invites us to be still, read the passage slowly, and reflect on the closed doors in our own lives.

Is there a recent disappointment, delay, or change of plans that God may be using to guide you?

Take a quiet moment today and pray:

“Spirit, what are You redirecting me toward?”

Before we rush into another week, take time to look back with God.

The Saturday Examen is an invitation to pause, breathe, and become aware of God’s presence over the week that has passed.

Where did you notice His gifts?

Perhaps in a conversation.
A small answered prayer.
A moment of strength or silence.
Or even in an emotion that revealed something deeper.

As you review your week, let the Holy Spirit bring clarity. Give thanks for what was good. Confess what needs to be surrendered. Notice what God may be inviting you into.

Then look ahead to the coming week.

How are you feeling about what is ahead?

Bring that honestly to God.

Visit our devotional website and take a few quiet moments today for the Saturday Weekly Examen as we continue our daily devotional journey through the year.

Not every pressure is the right direction. Not every urgent voice is the Spirit’s voice. Take time to seek God what seems good to Him and for us. "Holy Spirit, what seems good to You?"

Grace reaches wider than we imagine.

In Acts 15, Peter reminds the church that God “made no distinction between us and them,” cleansing hearts by faith and saving all through the grace of the Lord Jesus.

Today’s devotional invites us to pause, breathe, and remember: God is often at work in places and people we did not expect.

Take a few quiet moments today to be still, read the Scripture slowly, and reflect on where you have seen God move unexpectedly.
