The Mzuzu University SDA Adventist Youth Department held a three-day camp-out retreat at Choma Hills, Nkhatabay, from Friday, May 22 to Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The retreat featured sessions on Christian salesmanship, environmental conservation, financial literacy, camp cookery, fire building, and arts and crafts, among other lessons.

Organizers said the aim was to expose participants to outdoor living and show its benefits. Through hiking and learning survival skills different from commercial life, participants also developed perseverance.

The retreat was led by Roselyn Malinga, chair lady of the organizing committee.
