One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.

Prayer can, and should be taught. many believers don't know how to pray( they pray amiss). The disciples understood the importance of prayer as they walked with Jesus. The miraculous ministry of Jesus was enough to explain the power of prayer. We need to learn how to pray.
