* King Jehoshaphat asked King Ahab to seek the Lord first before making any alliance with him.
* Desire to be discerning in the kind of associations you choose.
* A rebuke from a friend is better than a kiss from an enemy.
* 2 Chronicles 19:1-2; If you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord, God's wrath will be upon you.
* 2 Chronicles 20:35; Jehoshaphat's association with Ahaziah made God declare judgement against his works.
* Emulate the kind of relationship that Moses and Joshua had as they went to the tent of meeting. The relationship between Elijah and Elisha. David and Jonathan. Paul and Timothy.Mary and Elizabeth.

- There were many lepers in Israel but Elijah was only sent to the widow of Zarepath.
*There is always a provision that comes with the obedience of the word of God
* Desire to be exempted,separated
- Divine exemption comes with not just freedom but freedom indeed.
*We bear the mark of Christ, which exempts us from the oppression of the enemy.
Malachi 3:6 NIV
[6] “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
* His word is a guide for us. It sheds light to our path.
Psalms 119:105, Psalms 92:10
[105] Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalms 92:10
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
* Daniel 6:23-24; When Daniel was thrown to the lion's den, the divine exemption on his life prevented the lions from devouring him.
*1 Samuel 17:45; When David goes before Goliath, He goes in the name of the Lord to fight with him who defied the armies of Israel.

Key Text (s): Exodus 12:12-13
* The divine exemption gives you an advantage over the fierceness of the enemy or the battle. It is a clear distinction.
* It is the story of the Lord drawing a like between His people and those of the world.
* In exodus it is a war manual between God and the god's of Egypt.
- God can send targetted judgement over the enemy's camp alone without affecting the neighbouring camps.
* 1 Peter 2:5, Exodus 8:22-23
- God announced exemption over the land of Goshen even before the plagues fell.
- Not a fly, a calf, a hen or anything else died in the land of God because of exemptions.
* Divine exemption does not exclude you from loss but when the enemy encounters your address, he finds a mark of distinction on you.
* The Kingdom of God suffers violence and only the violent shall take it by force to destroy the works of the devil.
* God uses the weakened so His glory can be revealed.
- Had God not hardened Pharaoh's heart, the people would be tempted to assume that it was because of Moses' negotiation skills.

* 20 signifies a season for celebration after a season of struggle. It demonstrates an age of responsibility.
* Celebration signifies celebration of God's Faithfulness.
* Malachi 3:6
- His faithful is never changing. Same thing for fathers, when a prodigal son comes back, a father shows faithfulness by embracing the son without focusing on the tales of the older son.
* His faithfulness brings hope and courage.
- Daniel 2:17
- If you want to rise up in the Kingdom of God, humble yourself.
- If you want to be greater serve one another.
* Acts 20:35
- When Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego were thrown into the fire even the people that threw them got consumed, but God preserved the faithfulness of the three of them.
* His faithfulness is in His promises.
- God's faithfulness requires gratitude
* Psalms 89:1
* God's faithfulness is source of strength and comfort
- When you look at what God has done, it should encourage us. Recognize it, not only for our benefit but for His glory too.
