(Preparing the Church for the Rapture)
John 14:1โ3
NKJV:
โLet not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Fatherโs house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Jesus spoke these words like a loving Father calming His children. He knew fear would come, so He said, โDonโt be troubled.โ Heaven is not crowded or unfinishedโJesus Himself is preparing a real place for His people. Just as a bridegroom prepares a home before coming for his bride, Jesus promised He will come again to personally take us to be with Him forever.
The Greek word for โmansionsโ is ฮผฮฟฮฝฮฎ (monฤ), meaning a dwelling place or home. This tells us heaven is not imaginaryโit is a prepared, permanent home.

1 Thessalonians 4:13โ14
NIV:
โBrothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.โ
The believers in Thessalonica were afraid their loved ones who died would miss Jesusโ return. Paul gently corrects them. Christians still feel sad when someone dies, but our sadness is full of hope. Why? Because Jesus rose from the dead, and everyone who belongs to Him will rise too.
The phrase โfallen asleepโ comes from the Greek word ฮบฮฟฮนฮผฮฌฯ (koimaล)โlike resting in a bed. Just like sleeping in a hotel before continuing a journey, believers rest temporarily, waiting to wake up in glory.

1 Corinthians 15:20
NLT:
โBut in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.โ
Jesus did not just come back to life for HimselfโHe came back as the first fruit, meaning many more will follow. Death is no longer the end of the story. For believers, it is a doorway into something far better than anything we have known on earth.
The Bible teaches that death for the believer is not defeatโit is promotion.

1 Thessalonians 4:15โ17
NKJV:
โFor this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an Arch angel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.โ
This is not a secret rumorโPaul says this teaching comes โby the word of the Lord.โ Jesus Himself will act. He will not send an angel in His place. The Bible says โthe Lord Himselfโ will come down.
There will be:
A shout โ a command of victory
The voice of the archangel โ heaven responding
The trumpet of God โ announcing a royal event
First, believers who have already died will rise. Then, believers who are alive will be caught up together with them.
The phrase โcaught upโ comes from the Greek word แผฯฯฮฌฮถฯ (harpazล), meaning to seize suddenly, to sn**ch away with force. This is where we get the word rapture (from the Latin rapturo). It will be sudden, powerful, and joyful.
We will meet Jesus in the air, and from that moment on, we will never be separated from Him again.

Acts 1:11
KJV:
โWhich also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.โ
Jesus did not disappear like a ghost. He went up with witnesses watching. The angels promised that the same Jesusโnot a different spirit, not a symbolโwill return the same way He left.
This tells us the rapture and the return of Christ are:
Real
Visible
Audible
Personal
He is coming back just as surely as He went up.
๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ
We will not only meet Jesusโwe will meet one another again. Mothers will see children. Friends will rejoice. Families in Christ will be reunited forever. No more funerals. No more goodbyes. No more tears.
This is why death has lost its fear. Jesus removed its sting.

1 Thessalonians 4:18
NKJV:
โTherefore comfort one another with these words.โ
God did not give prophecy to scare His children, but to comfort them. When the world shakes and fear increases, believers remind each other: Jesus is coming.
This hope is like a warm blanket for the heart.

Titus 2:11โ13
NIV:
โFor the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say โNoโ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hopeโthe appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.โ
Grace does not teach us to live carelesslyโit teaches us to live ready. We say no to sin, not because we are afraid, but because we are waiting for Someone we love.
The โblessed hopeโ is not an eventโit is a Person: Jesus Christ.

Philippians 3:20โ21
NLT:
โBut we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own.โ
This world is not our final home. We are just passing through. One day, Jesus will change our tired, sick, broken bodies into glorious onesโjust like His resurrection body.
No more pain. No more sickness. No more weakness.

John 14:6
NKJV:
โJesus said to him, โI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.โ
Jesus did not say He shows the wayโHe is the way. Heaven is not reached by being good, religious, or kind enough. It is entered by saying yes to Jesus.

The Great Evacuation is coming.
The trumpet will sound.
The Lord will descend.
If you belong to Jesus, you will rise.
If you are alive, you will be caught up.
And if you are unsureโtoday is the day to choose Him.
โEven so, come, Lord Jesus.โ (Revelation 22:20)
๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Beloved, the Great Evacuation will not wait for permission from the world. It will not pause for unfinished plans, careers, or comforts. When Jesus calls, time as we know it will stop.
The door that is open today will one day be shut.
Jesus Himself warned us:
Matthew 24:40โ42 (NIV):
โTwo men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.โ
Life will look normal. People will be working, talking, planningโthen suddenly Jesus will take His people. That is why we must be ready every day, not afraid, but prepared.
๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐?
Being ready does not mean being perfect.
It means being in Christ.
The Bible says:
Romans 8:1 (NLT):
โSo now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.โ
To belong means you have trusted Him, surrendered your heart, and are walking with Him daily.

Jesus said:
Luke 21:36 (NKJV):
โWatch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.โ
The word โwatchโ in Greek is แผฮณฯฯ
ฯฮฝฮญฯ (agrupneล), meaning to stay awake, alert, spiritually attentive. We watch with faith, prayer, holiness, and hope.

Until He comes, we are called to:
Love deeply
Preach boldly
Live cleanly
Hope joyfully
Matthew 24:14 (KJV):
โAnd this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.โ
This message is not just for scholarsโit is for children, families, and nations.

If your heart says, โI want to be ready,โ pray this sincerely:
โLord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God.
I believe You died for my sins and rose again.
I turn away from my sin and give You my life.
Wash me, forgive me, and make me Yours.
Help me live ready for Your return.
In Jesusโ name, Amen.โ

This world is winding down.
Heaven is opening up.
The Bridegroom is preparing to come.
Revelation 22:17 (NKJV):
โAnd the Spirit and the bride say, โCome!โ And let him who hears say, โCome!โ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.โ
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
(Aramaic: โOur Lord, come!โ)
He is coming soon.
Be ready.
Be watching.
Be found in Him.
Shalom.
