We lost our dear brother who always stood by the young people,Rev Collins Kaunda of Malawi went to be with the Lord.You fought a good fight you won the race,Rest in Glory our very own,our deepest felt heart condolences to the family and UMC Malawi

Joshua 1:9 (NIV) - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

This verse gives us hope that no matter what the world says or how bad the situation around us may be, the Lord says "do not be afraid": for He is with us wherever we go. As sure as this verse was true for the Israelites on their journey to the promised land, so is the verse still true for God's children today, wherever they are. God loves His children today just as much as He loved the Israelites and protected them, on their way to the promised land.

Be assured that God is with you wherever you go: He will not leave you alone to go through the plague that has engulfed the world alone. Trust in the Lord and believe that you are hidden in His secret place and well protected from all evil. If you love the Lord, then His promise in Psalm 91:14 -16 is for you: "you shall call upon Him, and He will answer you; He will be with you in trouble; He will deliver you and honor you. With long life will He satisfy you, and show you His salvation.” Hallelujah

So be assured that, you shall not die by this plague but you shall live to declare God's faithfulness to the world that, Yes indeed, God loves His children and He protects them in all situations. Praise be to God. Amen

We need to take charge as young people enough of the talking let's take action. Young people from Africa Central Conference we are having our gathering accessing where we are ,what we should do to make things better and what opportunities do we have in church that we haven't tapped,day one so far so good.

Loving father we thank you for this time. God we gather jointly in agreement to seek you first and see the rest follow. We agree to live and walk with you everywhere we go. We choose to praise your name all the time. Our choice is you and you made the choice before we did. God we are under the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross to make us as clean as snow. King of the universe we come to you this morning to surrender 2017 into your hands. We know the enemy has laid traps. We know agents of failure are waiting to laugh. We know the dark world is already working on negativity to make the coming year a problem. We however surrender all to you. We surrender our projects. We surrender our journeys. We surrender our programs. We surrender our jobs. We surrender our work schedules. We surrender our spouses. We surrender our children. We surrender our friends. We surrender our colleagues. We surrender our neighbours. Every individual that interacts with us is today surrendered to you oh Lord. All the relations we share are surrendered to you. Prevail over the plans of the enemy and grant us victory in Jesus name. No programs shall be frustrated in Jesus name. We shall hold our candles right to every corner so no darkness shall swallow us. In Jesus name. Amen
