Couples for Christ (CFC) met with Fr. Franco Galdino and his team from the Youth Office of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life to share updates on the global work of its ministries serving children, youth, and young professionals.

CFC reported on the international and regional conferences conducted across its ministries, ensuring that the global theme, In the One, we are one, is expressed and shared creatively among participants in different countries. These gatherings, along with ongoing formation initiatives and cross‑regional collaboration efforts, help strengthen unity and missionary zeal among members globally.

Updates also included CFC’s preparations for the upcoming World Youth Day in South Korea, where the community is exploring the possibility of featuring Liveloud in the Youth Festival, following its positive reception at WYD Lisbon.

Fr. Franco expressed appreciation for the efforts of CFC’s ministries for the young, and CFC reaffirmed its openness to support the broader mission of the Youth Office and accompany young people in their journey of faith.

A beautiful lunch meeting was held with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Philippines to the Holy See, Ambassador Raphael Lotilla, together with Pontifical Collegio Filipino Rector, Fr. Greg Gaston.

During the conversation, Couples for Christ (CFC) shared about its global mission and its ongoing collaboration with various Vatican offices.

CFC also highlighted its partnerships with the Pontifical Collegio Filipino (PCF) and CBCP News, which serve as meaningful avenues for contributing to the Church’s mission through evangelization, formation, and communication.

We look forward to deeper collaboration in promoting the presence of Filipinos serving in local parishes across the world, and in strengthening their integration into the life and mission of the Church in every place they call home.

Goi and Charm Villegas, CFC Missionaries based in the CFC Vatican Office, had a grace‑filled courtesy visit today with Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops.

They thanked him on behalf of the CFC International Council for his video message during CFC’s 45th Anniversary and shared about the life, culture, and mission of Couples for Christ in strengthening Christian marriages and families.

Cardinal Grech encouraged them to continue embracing synodality within CFC and in their service to families and the wider Church.

A meaningful exchange of gifts followed. CFC offered the coffee table book from the 1st Global Conference in Rome, while Cardinal Grech gifted them the Final Document of the Synod, encouraging its use in their writing and pastoral formation.

His Eminence also assured his prayers for the CFC International Council as they discern next year’s theme.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As one community and one family in Christ, we invite everyone to join in prayer for our CFC International Council and their wives as they gather for their Discernment and Planning Retreat from August 6-10, 2026. Let us accompany our leaders with our prayers, asking the Holy Spirit to fill them with wisdom, humility, unity, and openness as they listen for God's direction.

Throughout the weekend, we encourage everyone to offer personal prayers, attend Mass if possible, pray the Rosary, spend time before the Blessed Sacrament, or make simple acts of sacrifice for the fruitfulness of this discernment.

As one community, let us entrust this time of discernment to the Holy Spirit, confident that the Lord will reveal His will and faithfully guide us forward.
