Death and despair are part of the human condition: but they are not the end of the story.

Join us at Wareside Church on Sunday 18th October as we conclude our sermon series, ‘The Human Condition: The Gospel Answer’, with ‘Facing Death and Despair’.

Our service begins at 9:30am. We’d love it if you would join us for worship, reflection and fellowship.

Please note that this service (and others till Christmas) will be held at Wareside Church while building works go on at Widford.

Four weeks from today, on Sunday 8th November, is our Remembrance Service. This year, because the church building is closed for renovation, the service will be held entirely at the War Memorial. It will still start at 10:50am but will be shorter than normal.

We warmly invite the whole village (and any visitors) to join us as we pause together, remember those who have given their lives in service, and honour their memory in quiet reflection.

Whether you come every year or have never joined us before, you will be very welcome. We’d love it if you would join us.

Our sermon series, ‘The Human Condition: The Gospel Answer’, continues on Sunday 4th October at 9:30am and will be exploring this very question.

We’re excited to share that building work on our renovation project is now underway! 🛠️

This does mean that Widford Church will be closed until the work is finished. In the meantime, our services will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Wareside (on Sundays at 9:30am as usual).

We’re so grateful for your patience and support while this important work takes place, and we look forward to welcoming you back into our historic church before too long (probably in the New Year, hopefully for Christmas).

In the meantime, you’ll find a warm welcome at Wareside. Please do join us.

There’s a lot happening on Widford Church’s painted chancel ceiling. Come and take a closer look tomorrow as we bring our Harvest and Heritage Festival to a close. And maybe find out what is happening in this picture...

Hear a short talk about the painting of the ceiling at 12pm, followed at 2:30pm by a talk about Charlotte Hadsley Gosselin, the artist who painted it. Curious visitors are very welcome.

Our Harvest Festival Service on Sunday will explore this question as part of our sermon series, ‘The Human Condition: The Gospel Answer.’

We’ll be meeting at Widford Church on Sunday 20th September at 10:30am, and we’ll be delighted to welcome members from Wareside and Hunsdon churches.

THIS SATURDAY! Don't miss Widford Church's Harvest BBQ with live entertainment from The Vicar and Friends!

Widford Church's Harvest & Heritage Festival is taking place over the weekend of 19th-20th September (at the church), and the evening promises music, food and plenty of fun for all the family!

From 5:00pm, join us on the dance floor / mosh pit as The Vicar and Friends entertain us with songs by The Cure, Fairground Attraction, Tina Turner and Status Quo (among others).
