It is just a short service; a quiet moment to remember those who gave their lives in war and to reflect together with our community.

What can we see clearly : and what might we be missing?

We'd love you to join us at Wareside Church on Sunday 11th October at 9:30am for the penultimate part of our seven-week sermon series, "The Human Condition: The Gospel Answer."

Our whole series has been given over to exploring the realities of human life and the hope found in the gospel. This week, we meet a blind man whose spiritual sight is better than that of the religious leaders. Can you see as clearly as him?

Whether you’re a familiar face or joining us for the first time, there’s a place for you. Come along for worship, a message of hope and a friendly welcome.

Who’s ready for an autumn morning of pumpkin fun? 🎃

The first weekend of Wareside Village Hall’s 100th Birthday Celebrations have just finished, but there's also a friendly community event packed with seasonal entertainment taking place on Saturday 24 October.

10.30 for 11.00am
Pumpkin weigh-in : registered pumpkins only

There’ll also be a pumpkin carving demonstration and horse racing for all ages, taking place inside the hall. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available too, so come along, enjoy the fun and have a natter with friends and neighbours.

Whether you’re taking part, cheering from the sidelines or simply enjoying a cuppa, everyone is welcome to celebrate this much-loved village asset.

Wareside Church is going to host Sunday services every week while building work on Widford Church's renovation project is underway!

It is a privilege for us at Wareside to help our sister church in this way. Widford Church (pictured) is expected to be closed until mid-December (and maybe longer).

We would request that the lay-by outside the church is made available for cars travelling to our services on Sunday mornings from Widford, and we thank you in advance for your help with this.

What does it feel like to be excluded and alone : and what difference can the Gospel make?

On Sunday 27th September at 9:30am, we’ll be gathering at Wareside Church for the fourth part of our seven-week sermon series, "The Human Condition: The Gospel Answer."

Maybe you have never joined us before because someone told you that churchgoers look down on others. The truth is very different - come and hear the good news of Jesus for the marginalised and experience the welcome of a community which is unlike your fears.

Come along and celebrate 100 years of Wareside Village Hall! 🎉

On Sunday 27th September there will be a joyful family and community afternoon held at the hall, with free entry and plenty to enjoy:

🌼 Decorated wheelbarrow competition : judging at 2.30pm. (Booking required - see contact details below.)

🎉 Plaque unveiling at 3.00pm

💃 Hertfordshire Holly dancing at 3.15pm

☕ Refreshments available all afternoon

📜 Exhibition exploring the history of the hall

🎭 Children’s fancy dress competition : judging at 3.45pm, with categories for under 6s, ages 7–10 and ages 11–15. Adults are welcome to join in too! Booking required (see below).

Bring the family, enjoy the entertainment and celebrate this much-loved village community asset. Why would you miss these happy centenary celebrations?!

What do we do with guilt and shame? The Christian faith has a good answer.

You’re warmly invited to join us at Wareside Church on Sunday 13th September at 9:30am for the first Wareside service in our seven-week sermon series, "The Human Condition: The Gospel Answer."

The series began last Sunday (6th September) at Widford Church and will continue each week, so if you want to catch the whole series, come to Widford on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and to Wareside on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. Anyone who turns up will be assured of a warm welcome (whatever skeletons they have in their closet!).

Fancy an evening of live music, good food and community celebration? 🎶

Wareside Village Hall is turning 100, and we’d love you to join in the celebrations on Saturday 26th September for live music with Second Bite and Guests. (Second Bite have twice played at the VICARGIG, so it's great to see them performing in the village again - and they're very good.)

Arrival is at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are £15, including a buffet, with vegan and vegetarian options available. Please bring your own bottle.
