At PAL Community CIC, we want to make sure that every child in our community can enjoy the magic of Halloween safely, comfortably and in their own unique way.

If a little monster knocks on your door this year and doesn't say "Trick or Treat", or seems overwhelmed by the lights or sounds, please show them extra patience and a big smile.

PAL (Positive Autistic Living) Community CIC exists so that the most difficult moments of a SEND parent's life never have to be faced alone.

PAL was founded six years ago to bridge a gap between the SEND journey and the support available during difficult moments. This community already means so much to its members, and many friendships have been born through attending our parent support group meetings. Our main aim is to reduce social isolation and exclusion for SEND children, young people and their families so they feel supported and less alone.

If you are interested in joining us, come along to the next parent support group meeting on November 4th at Pitter Patter Clinic, Eccleston, St. Helens, from 6.30 p.m. onwards. It would be great to welcome you there.

It's worth so much to be able to make a connection with another person or family like yours. Their coping mechanisms open possibilities for you. And that all-important feeling of "you're not alone".

This sums up the mission of Positive Autistic Living Community CIC. We are opening a safe sensory room and cinema space because we want families to feel less alone. We aim to reduce social isolation and exclusion and allow every family the opportunity to connect with others so they can know and appreciate real connection.
Please help support us.

Traditional cinemas can be too loud, crowded, or overwhelming for children and young people with SEND. The strict regime doesn't support a relaxed, positive cinema experience. That's why, at PAL Community CIC, our aim is to ensure that our SEND cinema is welcoming and that it meets the diverse needs of every child and young person who visits, because they all deserve to enjoy the same experiences in their own unique way.

Our aim is to open a safe sensory room and bespoke SEND cinema space in St. Helens in early 2027. If you can help us in any way, or would like to discuss our vision or seek more information, DM, call/text Jane on 07456165589 or Nic on 07305591299 or email [email protected]

At PAL Community CIC, we are dedicated to creating a safe, sensory space where everyone feels included and supported. That is why a sensory room is the next step in our extension of services.

A sensory room is a specifically designed space that uses lights, sounds, textures, and specialised equipment to help individuals interact with their environment in a safe, controlled and regulating way.

Sensory rooms matter because they:

- Reduce stress and anxiety (they provide a soothing escape from the overwhelm of everyday life)
- Improve attention and focus (interactive elements help individuals develop better concentration and emotional regulation)
- Encourage participation (they offer a welcoming environment for neurodivergent individuals)
- Promote connection (safe spaces allow individuals to explore, learn, and socialise at their own comfortable pace)

Sensory rooms are essential tools for well-being, comfort and equality.

When we set out to support neurodivergent individuals and their families, we wanted to build something that our community could trust. That's why we registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC). As a CIC, we are officially recognised by the government as a business working for the public good. We have a legal duty to report exactly how we are helping the St. Helens community every single year.

Right now, our biggest community goal is raising funds on November 21st to help towards building a safe, accessible SEND sensory room and cinema space in early 2027. We have CIC status, so you don't have to wonder where your donation or ticket money is going. It is legally bound to this project and this community. We're building this with you and for you. Let's make St. Helens proud, together.

Support your local CIC and come to our fundraiser on November 21st at The Abbey, Hard Lane, St. Helens from 7.00 p.m. onwards. Tickets are on sale now for £25 per person, and this includes a meal, a complimentary drink and entertainment for the evening. If you are interested and would like to join us, DM, call/text Jane on 07456165589 or Nic on 07305591299 or email [email protected]

We would like to welcome you all to our next fundraiser at The Abbey, Hard Lane, St.Helens. Tickets are on sale now for £25 per person, inclusive of a meal, a complimentary drink and entertainment for the evening. This fundraiser was very popular last year and was sold out, so if you are interested, you need to secure your tickets fast. Tickets are limited and capped at 40. We have already sold 9 tickets, so please book now to avoid disappointment.

All proceeds raised go toward opening a safe, sensory space and cinema within the St.Helens community early next year. It is hoped that this room will serve the needs of SEND children, young people and families across the borough.
