Good evening everyone,
As part of the fundraising to help cover the cost of replacing the failed heating system, Gillian Little is stepping well out of her comfort zone by taking on a climb over the 02 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome!) to raise money.
Anything you can give — or even just a share — would be hugely appreciated and will help support a much-loved church that continues to support and serve the local community in times of need.

“It is finished”. The Cross stands, flanked by lighted candles, in an otherwise bare church.
We now patiently await the second part of the Mystery of Faith, which we shall celebrate on Holy Saturday night at 8pm, and on Sunday at 9am & 10.30am.

After the drama of Maundy Thursday evening, all is bare in church as we keep Good Friday and celebrate the Death and Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

2nd April, Maundy Thursday:

10.30am Childrens’ Worship
2pm CELEBRATION OF THE LORD’S DEATH & PASSION

4th April, Holy Saturday:

5th April, Easter Day: CELEBRATION OF THE LORD’S RESURRECTION:
9am Holy Eucharist (said)
10.30am Procession, Blessing
of the Easter Garden, & High Mass

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday!
Join us at English Martyrs’ Church at 10.30am for the Liturgy of Palms.
We then make our way in procession to S. James’, walking with Our Lord on his own way to Jerusalem to suffer and die for us.

The switch to deep red cloths and veils indicates that we are now in Passiontide: the season of Lent moves up a gear as we prepare for our celebrations of Our Lord’s Passion, his Suffering on the Cross for us.
