If you are over 18, can give a few months to a year as a volunteer, flexible, adaptable, open to challenge and growth in faith, with a desire to live simply and share your gifts in the Philippines, Thailand, India, Lithuania or in England - then contact us.

The Assumption Volunteers have been busy this month!

Alongside spending time with the AVs, Sr Emmanuel visited Newcastle University Chaplaincy, where she joined Fr Jerome and Sr Tram to share about vocation and the different ways God calls us to serve. 🙏

Life as an Assumption Volunteer is about so much more than service and mission in Kids Kabin and our local communities. 🌍 We make time to share our lives, eat, pray and laugh together and explore the UK. 💛 Community time is where friendships are made and memories begin! 🤝

This time, it took us to Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital just a short train-ride away.

🏔️ Climbed Calton Hill for the views
🏰 Conquered Edinburgh Castle
🎨 Wandered the National Gallery
🧺 Picnicked by the Ross Fountain (yes, naps happened while basking in the sunshine 😴)
🥚 Tried scotch eggs and fried haggis, and survived! 😂

Sightseeing, good food and great company. All part of the Assumption Volunteer experience! ✨

✨ A warm welcome to the new Assumption Volunteers!

After two weeks of orientation, prayer and team-building, they are now beginning their placements at KidsKabin in Newcastle! 🙌

As they settle into their new community and start this year of service, please keep them in your prayers. May it be a time of growth, friendship and many new experiences. 💫

Welcome to the 2026/27 Assumption Volunteers in England! 🇬🇧✨

We are so excited to accompany them as they begin their journey of service and mission with KidsKabin in Newcastle.

To kick off their orientation, we began with a visit to the Sisters’ Convent in Twickenham, where the volunteers had the opportunity to learn more about the beginnings of KidsKabin from Sr Christine, one of the project’s founders.

A beautiful start to their time with us as they discover the spirit, mission and story behind the work they will be part of this year. 💙

💜 With grateful hearts we mark the end of 2025/26 with the Assumption Volunteers in the UK as we say thank you and God bless! You'll be missed 🫶🏽

🙏🏽 This weekend we gathered for a final reflection day, a farewell Mass on the Feast of the Assumption, and a celebration together.

💫 It was a chance to look back on a year of service, community, friendship and growth.

😎 Thank you for your kindness, generosity, joy and patience. All the care and love for the children you supported, and for the mission you carried.

😇 Like Mary, you said yes — and it made a difference!

Today, AMA volunteer Kitty Enright completes her year of service. We are deeply grateful for her dedication to the children of Middlesbrough and Newcastle.

Throughout the year, Kitty faced challenges with steadfast faith, courage, and perseverance. We admire her commitment and the compassionate way she shared her life with so many children.

While it will be difficult to say goodbye to her AMA friends, staff, and the many children whose lives she touched, we know they will remain in her heart forever.

God bless you, Kitty, as you begin this new chapter of your life’s journey. You go with our love, gratitude, and prayers. 🙏❤️

Happy Summer!! ☀️ AV’s have kicked off the summer holiday at Walker Outdoor Week! We had loads of activities for the kids to enjoy. It was so much fun being outside with the community.
