There will be the usual Burger stand, homemade cake stall, Strawberries and Cream stand, Pimms bar, ice-cream, a Bouncy Castle and many fair games and activities for the children. We are delighted to offer a location for Central & North West London NHS Recovery and Wellbeing College to host two sessions at the church as part of Kensington Wellness Week, set up by Opportunity Kensington, which runs from 12th - 18th May. The two sessions are as follows:

Introduction to Self-Compassion from 1.30 pm - 2.30 pm
If you tend to criticise and judge yourself harshly, concentrate more on your mistakes than your strengths, and often feel that you are not good enough, this short course is for you. Developing self-compassion and learning to be kinder to ourselves is possible for everyone and something which can be learned. We will support you to start exploring how we can all develop more compassion for ourselves every day.

Coping with Stress and Anxiety from 3 pm - 4 pm
Everyone experiences stress and anxiety. Excessive or prolonged stress can have a negative impact on our physical and mental health. Sometimes we can find ourselves fearful, nervous and tense almost all the time, which is when anxiety becomes a problem.
We will be discussing how we can identify signs and sources of stress and exploring practical ways of managing stress & anxiety more effectively.

The sessions are free but please sign up in advance so that we have an idea of numbers. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wellness-and-recovery-day-tickets-1986318483053?aff=oddtdtcreator

The Vigil starts at 8 pm and all are welcome to join.
