This Sunday we're celebrating All Saints at Sunday Club at 11 am (All Hallows Day, which gives its name to the day before, Halloween)

There will be stories, prayers and thinking about how we can spot saints everywhere.

Hope you've had as good a half term as we've had!

What a splendid evening of entertainment the Funny Folker gave us on Saturday. He had the audience laughing from start to finish with his funny stories and comic songs. Many memories were stirred as he sang skipping songs and chants which took us back to our schoolyard days. His surprise appearance as Elvis, to conclude the evening, was a great finish to a brilliant concert, much appreciated by the audience.

Tickets are still available for our concert this coming Saturday. If you've not had chance to get yours yet, you can ring 01282 866313 to reserve tickets or send a text to 07986991425 leaving your name and the number of tickets required. These can then be picked up on the door on Saturday. It promises to be a great night of entertainment with the added bonus of a bar, a raffle, a mini auction and the option of purchasing pie & peas. As the Funny Folker would say: "we'd love to see you there, if you've got nothing on!"

It was lovely to welcome Hughie and his family and friends into Christ Church last Sunday (11th October) for his baptism. We wish him every blessing as he travels through his life.

Tickets are still available for this wonderful evening of live entertainment and they are a bargain at only £10. There will be a bar available and the option to buy pie & peas at the interval. Don't miss this night of music and laughter. All profit from the concert will go to the much needed church tower appeal fund so your support will be much appreciated. Tickets can be bought at Christ Church between 12 noon and 12:30 on the next two Sundays. Alternatively, you can book online (details on the poster) or ring 01282 866313 to reserve yours.
